This is, by far, THE most comfortable pillow I have ever owned and slept on.The good:1. Cool: I previously used a typical ergonomic memory foam pillow and it always felt hot, but this one is definitely much cooler. Not sure what others mean when they say it isn't cooler than a conventional pillow. There is a difference, for sure.2. Keeps it's shape: doesn't squish down or change it's shape. Definitely a plus.3. It's the perfect thickness and dimensions (I ordered a queen size).4. It stays put and doesn't move all around like other pillows do.5. Great for any sleep position - back, sides, stomach.6. Has provided me with the best sleep I've had in many months.7. I experience less headaches than I had before using this pillow.8. Great price for the quality.9. Made in the USA!The not-so good:1. As others have noted, at first there is an odd odor. Let it dissipate for a few days if it's that offensive to you. No big deal. Believe me, it's worth the wait.2. It is a bit slippery, so sometimes the pillow case slides off a bit on the end. Just slide it back on - again, no big deal.3. I'm so sorry I waited so long to purchase it.Just remember, to each or her own: a product will NEVER please everyone. Try it and see if it works. If so, congratulations on a great night of sleep; if it doesn't, return it and try something else. I'm just glad I gave it a try because I will never switch back to any other kind.

The media could not be loaded. Left my time-hardened king memory foam pillow a 5 hour drive back to get it. Not a good time to spend $140 on a pillow. Took a chance on these. Ordered two. They are wonderful for this side sleeper. Firm, perfectly shaped memory foam feel and performance, soft lightly quilted construction. Bonus: My king shams actually tilt up nicely when the bed is made, instead of sagging and flopping around out of shape pillows from the land of false promises.

As for the side sleeping pillow advantage, THIS IS THE BEST!! I've tried other "side-sleeper" pillows that have worked at first but not lasted long, ending with neck and shoulder pain. Thought I'd try the Revel pillow, & it's immediate comfort is wonderful to my back, shoulders & neck--i experienced immediate overnight comfort! BUT, there is a slight chemical odor when I laid my head on the pillow (not noticeable from afar). The 1st night I used the pillow I was too tired to change back to my old pillow, so I slept through it, but it wasn't pleasant. I checked the package, but no instructions or reference to the odor. I'm now on week #2 with the pillow. The comfort far outweighs the odor, which is almost gone. Would have given it 5* if not for the odor.As for cooling, it does have cooling gel--but on 1 side only. It helps somewhat, just wondering how it'll do in the summer.Will have to review in 6 months or a year from now to report back on pillow's firmness.UPDATE 3 MONTHS LATER: Chemical odor left after about a week, but now that warmer weather is here in TX, the "cooling" gel does not last very long, and I find I'm having to turn the pillow around several times/night. However, the firmness of the pillow is awesome, helping my neck and back issues as a side sleeper.UPDATE 18 MONTHS LATER: Time to get another pillow--height of pillow has diminished and also no longer as cool as I'd like.

This pillow offers great support for side sleepers and back sleepers. It was a good value and much more comfortable than a pillow I bought from Parachute (which was 2x the price of this one!). You can really feel the cooling gel when you sleep, but note that the gel is only on one side of the pillow in case you don't want to sleep cool 8-). The foam is not hot at all (unlike previous memory foam pillows I've used) and breathes nicely. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a new pillow—don't bother with the overpriced stuff from other places and get rid of that old IKEA pillow you've held on to since college. Time for an upgrade to your bed.

The pillow is great. I already had a full size one - this one is queen. The only issue that made me give it 3 stars instead of a 5 is within 2 weeks the zipper totally busted and I now have it pinned to stay on the body of the pillow. It still sleeps great - just hate that the zipper did not stay intact.

After reading some of the comments about the smell, I hesitated, but because the "comfort" comments were good, I decided to risk the purchase. The pillow did have a very slight odor, but certainly wasn't bad enough to make you throw up. After two nights, it has been fine with no offensive odor. Must admit I'm experiencing a more restful sleep with this pillow. It seems to align my shoulders/neck/head so much more comfortable and I never wake up during the night in a battle with this pillow. After sleeping on this pillow for a week, I would definitely recommend it and would purchase it again.

Have been using the pillow for a week and I bought this to complement the other softer pillows that I have.I was pleasantly surprised that the pillow arrived with no smell and could be used immediately. Even after a week of using there still isn’t any.The pillow provided sufficient support for my neck and want too hard like others I have tried. It also did not get hot, which is important as I live in nyc which gets crazy summers sometimes.Overall, it served the purpose for what I bought it for and recommend for something supportive, comfortable and with a long warranty
