Hampton & Stewart DVD Storage Tower Rack CD Unit Shelf Organiser Wood Black/White (Black)

The shelf is about the quality I expected it to be for the price. It’s made of chipboard with black veneer, but looks fine from a distance.I like the fact that the veneer is shiny. It came equipped with all the right fittings. Assembly was easy and the instructions are clear.It has five moveable shelves, but if you’re using it for a mixture of CDs and DVDs like me, you’ll get two CD sized shelves, two DVD sized shelves, a tiny shelf in the middle and the fifth shelf won’t fit.What confused me, was the tiny tube contained with the fixings. It didn’t have dowels, so was clearly not glue. It’s actually black paint. I realised what it was for when I noticed somebody had filled a chip in the veneer, probably during the packing process.I then found several small chips along the raw edges of the veneer, which to be fair, improved with a dab of the enclosed paint.It feels sturdy enough, is functional and not bad looking if you don’t examine it too closely.Not a bad shelf all told. I give it a solid three stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Bought this to store my playstation games. Although it is a nice compact little unit, due to the pre drilled spacing holes for the shelves there is not enough room to store either DVDs or games upright. You can however stack them on their sides which is not what my preference is. I had already built the unit and nailed the back on before realising this. Disappointed as not very clear in either the description or photos provided on Amazon.
