Do Your Best: How to be a Scout

Absolutely great for 11 years plus . Extremely interesting in all aspects . Simple instructions on how to be prepared not just for camping but to help with life skills. The hard back version was bigger than I expected and quite heavy to hold . Need to put on table desk or cushion for the young ones .

Bought this book for a young nephew who is a Boy Scout and he loves all the tips etc., on camping and living the outdoor life.

Hubby enjoyed it but he has better scout books

I bough this as a reference book for our family, we are all either Scouts or Leaders, and love the Scouting movement. This has everything you could wish to learn, Bear is a fantastic Chief Scout and a fantastic role model for children. The book talks about so many things, from routines, and how to be organised, tracking and how to navigate to leadership and knots, it’s all in there! I find it to be a book that you can use for reference, but also one that’s fun to read. It’s engaging, interesting and one that is so full of information that you won’t have it far for your bedside, whether that’s in your bedroom or under canvas!

This is a excellent book for scouts and Bear Grylls is a very good role model for young people . So many young people don't have good role models today and unfortunately we see an increase in gangs and the associated knife and gun crimes . Bears wrote quite a few books now and I recommend them all .

Great book for children, touches upon many aspects of being a good scout, not just on expected topics but also how to be considerete towards others, environent etc. My son enjoys it a lot!

A keen outdoors man with a number of books in my personal library on the subject I bought this for my son who recently joined the local Scout troop. I have ended up reading it myself. Having followed the author for some years through his TV work I found his style of writing perfect for the intended audience while also learning some interesting points myself. A wonderfully well written and well presented book and a must for any Scouters book shelf.

I am very excited to gift this to my son for Christmas. Did not realise how big it was going to be! Filled with so much information and a section to write down your scout information as a keepsake.

Reads like a modern version of "Scouting for Boys", the book that started the Scout Movement 100 years ago. Lots of great info and a good read for any Scout and Scouter.

This is such a nice book to read, The aduibook was amazing, but the hardcover copy has such amazing detail great drawings. Is a heavy book but I love it ;)
