Really pleased
I got this scale to replace another body composition scale from another manufacturer. The other scale was 10 years old and still worked, so I considered this an impulse buy. The upgrade was worth the money. Pros: 1. The scale is precise. I learned how to use the scale by taking multiple measurements right after each other. Each of the measurements was very close to the others, so I think the scale has a small margin of error. 2. The scale does granular measurement. I found that the ability to see separate measurements for arms, trunk, and legs was useful. My gym workouts are divided by cardio, upper, and lower body workout days, so this scale targets exactly the same areas. I can see where my workouts are contributing the most progress. 3. The scale is easy to use. My old scale had a physical button to push to turn on, and then would calibrate for a few seconds. This scale has no button to push, but rather just a light step on the scale itself turns it on. It calibrates very quickly. 4. The scale is thorough. It has about 3x the measurements of my old scale. It simply measures more things. My old scale measured the essentials, but this scale measures many more facets of my health. I don't know if all of the measurements are equally useful, but it's good to know they're available. Still, the most important measurements are there: weight, BMI, % fat, % muscle, resting metabolism, metabolic body age. The fat and muscle measurements are divided by left and right arms and legs, and trunk. 5. The scale is compact and light. This new scale is a bit more compact and it's lighter than the old one. A scale that's 10 years newer should be like this, so this is no surprise. This scale is sturdy and it seems well made. 6. The scale is a good value. Compared to similar scales, this one is far cheaper. It's a good value. 7. The scale has a good set of analytics features. This scale automatically logs your data and shows trends through its connected app. You can see several kinds of data reports and a graphical report with graphs of trends over time. This gives you a very clear report of your fitness journey over time. The scale effectively takes the analysis work out of the fitness journey so that you can focus on your workouts and your results. 8. You can get help during weigh-ins. Your phone can be used during a weigh-in, or the scale can give your phone data after you weigh in. If your phone is connected (and the app is open) during your weigh-in, the phone will give you instructions as you go. If your phone is not connected, you will have the option of selecting which weigh-ins you want to associate with your account. You can also delete weigh-ins that you don't want to keep. Cons: 1. The scale requires an app. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I could not get all of the measurements on the scale itself - I had to use the connected app. The scale would not even display all the numbers without first connecting to the app. Without the app connected I was only able to see my weight. 2. The scale did _not_ work reliably for me until I stopped using "Guest" mode. Once I created my individual account it worked reliably. I think this is because the scale requires a bluetooth connection, and bluetooth connections in Guest mode are only temporary. Therefore, the scale does not reliably connect and give full measurements in Guest mode. Create one or more user accounts, pair a phone for each user, and the process works reliably. General Tips: 1. I had to practice with this scale to get it to work reliably. It's a fairly sensitive instrument, so I did practice runs so that I could stand and hold the handle consistently, giving more consistent results. As always, I do my weigh-in on the same day of the week, at the same time, after the bathroom but before the shower. All of these considerations help produce more consistent results. So learn to use the scale through practice, and be consistent. 2. Use the trending features. You can see graphs of changes over time, and you can all see a "change" report to compare any two weigh-ins. These are super valuable to understand progress. 3. Don't weigh too often. This is just a general tip not specific to this scale, but I tend to weigh weekly or every few days, not every day. This is so that I don't get distracted by natural fluctuations.

Close to DEXA/DXA accurate for me
I have used this scale for just over a month now and I love it. The app is extremely user friendly and easy to understand your trends. I know there are a million smart scales out there with some being hundreds more. I took a shot on this one and have no problem recommending it to others. After a month I felt pretty confident with the consistency of the readings. To check how accurate it was I went and got a DEXA/DXA scan today. I was very pleasantly surprised with the results. This scale was 0.1 lbs different on the lean body mass and only 1.7% different on the body fat. With someone on a weight loss journey this scale gives me confidence I can rely on it to give me reliable data about my fat loss as well as muscle gains. As a pro tip you can export the reports the app produces and throw it in chat gpt to help you notice any trends as well as to give advice. I uploaded both my DEXA/DXA scan from today as well as the report from the scale today. This is the summary that ChatGPT said about this particular scale: โ My Overall Assessment For a consumer smart scale: yours performed VERY well. Especially: * weight * BMI * lean mass * general body-fat estimate That means: you can probably trust it reasonably well for tracking trends between DXA scans. The DXA remains the gold standard, but your home scale appears useful rather than misleading โ which is not always the case with smart scales.โ

Seems accurate, works with Apple
This scale works well and is fine overall. It seems to perform reliably and accurately, from what I can tell. What I donโt love: 1) the app must be open to record the measurements. Like me, youโll probably forget this quite a few times. Youโll take your measurement, step off, then notice you didnโt open the app to record them. So youโll open the app, then return to step 1. This replaced another brand of scale that had some onboard memory so you could open the app at any time later and it would pull In the recorded details. Not this one. Also, the app interface is not great. Itโs okay but you can tell itโs not a premium UI design. Itโs just another rather clunky interface from the manufacturer of the scale, not GE which just branded this bad boy. Fortunately it reliably exports data to Apple Health so I can see the measurements and trends over there. So, it works but youโre getting what you paid for here. If essential functions and price are the main criteria, itโs pretty great. If design, usefulness of the app, understandability of the graphs and metrics, and convenience are your criteria, I suggest you look elsewhere and probably spend a bit more.

Sleek design, quick readings
When I first purchased this scale, it didnโt work. Got a replacement very quickly, and revived great customer service from GE reps. Love the look of it (very sleek design), despite it being a little heavy (about 6lbs). However, this is very high quality, with a nice digital display. The information connects to the phoneโs app and gives you a fulsome reading quickly. It is stable to stand on and picks up your measurements within seconds. Canโt wait to see how it will serve me on my weight loss journey.

Worked Great WHEN it worked. Beyond that it's sketchy and unreliable.
GE Scale NOT REALLY "GE" IN my opinion. They just paid to use the name to sell a few more pallets of these pieces of junk per month. I usually do not write reviews. I'm bias I think that most of the time reviews are disingenuous or overly negative. Let me save you the time and the money, SKIP this piece of landfill JUNK. The Good: You could get a scale that is pretty cheap and reliable enough to help you track all aspects of your health and fitness goals from the wireless Bluetooth app functionality. When it worked, it was a hit. I was extremely satisfied. I would have written a five star review. I purchased the GE Smart Scale October 19th 2023 My intention for purchasing the scale was to track my health and fitness progress over a specific period of time during my upcoming travels. I wanted to purchase a scale that had app functionality, and similar functions to the InBody Brand of medical devices that are found at health clubs without the cost, and the burden of traveling with some thing so expensive. I briefly tested the scale before I hit the road for my international trip. It was very accurate in terms of using it to weigh the items I was putting in my bag and to weigh my luggage at the end, after it was all packed. Due to the build of the scale and the fragility of the Glass face, I made the executive decision to leave the scale in the OEM box for the travel. Everything worked out great. It arrived in Mexico flawless as it was packed and it's OEM box.. I've been in Mexico now since October 23, 2023 I have use the scale on and off maybe a total of 20 times with no issue and then today December 7, 2023. I weighed myself it worked just fine then when it was done it got stuck in this start up loop sequence. I attempted to hit the reset button on it, which does nothing it's not actually a reset button. It's got more to do with connecting it to the app and the Bluetooth. By plugged it in with the original charger and left it for 35-45 minutes nothing happened I called the customer service number on the scale which you can still see in the video is on there and they answered the phone no automated system. Nothing like that it was Jess hello. The person was friendly said oh don't worry you can get a warranty replacement within the first year not a big deal. OK great can you ship the warranty product to Mexico? No, we can't do that. Great Iโm Sh** Out of Luck. Now itโs trash, it will cost me more to travel further with it just to warrant it out. So in my opinion for $40 scale it is a great value. If you do not have a bunch of stuff on the line and MUST track all sorts of fitness progress and the need for this type of connectivity then take the risk, worst case scenario youโre out of the scale for a week or two until they replace it Also, I don't think it's really in any way, shape or form related to General Electric I think either GE licenses and sells the use of its name on products that they approveโฆ that's a hypothesis. Based on the fact that I talk to people with a strong accent, and no sign of an actual GE customer support, or GE professionalism, I would say that there is no brand connection here If you can swing it by the brand name InBody version, I think it comes in a few different colors and if I'm not mistaken, only one color is considered a medical device or one version of it. Check it out but I definitely wish I would've gotten the higher end scale because I definitely need it to last for at least six months.

Decent scale for the cost
This is my 3rd revision post on this scale . The first 2 reviews I didnโt like the scale at all . But after a few months of use my 3rd review has changed . So after a few months of use I like the scale , the numbers started to make more sense after time . None of these bmi scales are 100% accurate they just give u numbers that over time u can follow and just take note at what is happening and changing and the longer u use the scale the more the numbers will start to make since . At first i didnโt like the scale but now after a few months of use I like the scale . Itโs important to set the scale to the right settings at the beginning, it has a regular mode and an athletic mode . If your not athletic do not use this mode cause the readings will be big time different. After a few months I could see the weight loss journey Iโm on start to make since and for the cost of this scale I now feel itโs a decent scale for the price . Iโm going on almost 3 months of use and the scale has done a decent job at tracking the decline of all my readings including the loss of muscle at first . And me regaining my muscle back with weight training it has done a decent tracking of muscle gained back and all my readings including bmi , visceral fat , skeleton muscle, water weight all starts to look better over time . Iโm changing my review to give a better star rating and decent score . Over 2 months going on 3 months I have lost 31.8 pounds and my body mass has lowered and the scale though not fully accurate has done a decent job at giving me numbers that I can follow and take note at the changes over time . A key to using this scale is weigh yourself first thing in the morning and use it weekly not daily and weigh yourself with just underwear on and your numbers will look more accurate. At first I was extremely dehydrated and I thought the scale was off but after time I can see the numbers go up after hydration and can see my water hydration rise . I like the scale now . I will raise the star rating from one to 5 now , my advice is just give it time and the numbers will start to look right but not 100% accurate because none of these scales are accurate but for the cost and the function of app I like it now .

Worth it
So, my biggest thing was... should I bother getting a cheap item?? Or get a HUME which is expensive but raved about?? Let me tell you. My sister in law has the hume and I used it once then compared it to this GE one and listen. Dont waste your money on Hume/name brand products. GE scale was 100% same available results and was comparable to the results. Meaning, I didnt find a difference which is great. One thing I will note is the Hume wont let you reweigh yourself same day. And keeps asking you to sign up for premium app (pay) BuT!!! The GE scale app lets you reweigh as much as you want and chart it as well as no constant push to pay for the app or extra app stuff. Hands down better in my opinion!!! A must have!

Excellent detailed weight analysis machine
I bought this scale to replace a much more expensive scale with a non-replaceable rechargeable battery that had died. I was sceptical, but now am delighted. It works perfectly with my old iPhone 11 and gives far more information than the one it replaced. I enthusiastically recommend you seriously consider this scale. It's great!

GE smart Scale is definitely worth buying
Iโve been using the GE Fit Scale, and it works perfectly. Setup is simple, readings are quick, and the scale connects with the Fit Profile app, which makes it easy to track changes and trends in your body measurements over time. The app provides useful insights such as BMI, body water, bone mass, muscle mass, body fat, and other body-composition metrics. From my experience, the readings seem reasonably close and consistent, making it especially useful for tracking progress over time. For the price and the number of features it offers, I think the GE Fit Scale is definitely worth buying. Iโd recommend it to anyone looking for a smart scale that goes beyond simply measuring weight.

Best tool for making real change!!
Easy to use, great app (no bugs, glitches, or $ubscription$), enables me to set small realistic goals & timeframes and helps me get there! I have a Samsung phone, & Huawei smart watch (fabulous for much cheaper!), the Google Fit app ties together my intake calories from My Fitness Pal (free version), exercise from Huawei watch, & measurements from this GE scale to pull all my data into one place where I can easily see whether I'm on track or need to make adjustments & which tweaks to target. I love being able to see whether I'm losing or building muscle with my fat loss, or whether the change I see on the scale is from fat or water. This scale is a total game changer for me, & does everything the fancy advertised one does, at a quarter of the price - LOVE IT!!!
