This is the perfect case for my Singer 401A. I was concerned when I ordered it that the spool spindle at the top of the machine wouldn't fit in, but it does with a little room to spare. The case is nicely made and has a large pocket on the side where I can fit the foot controller and power cord. The fabric is heavy duty and carries the weight of the all metal machine. The zipper is strong and the case also has a carrying strap. I really can't say anything negative about this case. I love it.

The padded case opens on 3 sides with the 2, 2-way zippers making it easy to put the machine in. There is enough room to also fit the hard cover over the machine for added protection and the extended table fits next to it. The power cord, foot controller and other notions can be stored in the outer side pocket. The handle is soft similar to a back pack and is easy on the hands and will not crack/break if hit in transport. An added feature, since it is a soft case, you will not get bruised if it knocks into you.

This case is nice for most normal size (full size) sewing machines or even for carrying sewing project items, accessories, smaller rulers and fabric to class. Inasmuch as this is a lighter weight canvas type fabric, and it comes folded up, I put in a double thickness of cardboard to make a firmer base for my machine to set on. I will make a fabric sleeve to encase the cardboard later on.There is one pocket on the outside of the case. Since I use a small divided plastic tool case for the attachment feet, that and the controller and cords fit nicely in that pocket.It has double handles with an attached handle 'casing' that snaps both handles together for easy carrying. Nicely made and the zipper looks to be sewn in nicely. It is not very well padded so if you want extra protection, do as another commenter suggested and use foam sheets for padding.Check measurements, because there is a similar Singer case that is smaller for the 3/4 size machines. If you have a Gem Gold or similar, this case might be too large for what you need.

My Singer sewing machine fits in this case like a glove. Love that the main zipper goes down to the base so getting the machine in and out of the bag is easy. Bottom of bag is rigid so it doesn't sag with the weight of the machine. Front zippered storage still has extra space even with the pedal assembly.Interior dimensions: 17 x 13 x 6 inches (L x H x W)

This Singer case works very well with my Ricar serger which I kept in the original box all these years (15 at least). It's nice to have it looking so tidy. However, I am afraid I or my husband will set something on top of it. That would be bad because it would crush the thread guides on top of the serger. But if you are a careful sort of person, this is a nice thick bag, dimensions accurately described, and the outside pocket is useful. I can see it going on vacation and to classes. No wheels but really nice for the price.

The other sewing machine totes may be splashy looking, but this is a great tote! The material is strong and the full zippers make access very easy. The bottom is a platform and sturdy support and has well padded sides. I have bought two of these because there is ample room for any size machine plus your material. A large front pocket can carry your foot controller, cords and other sewing tools and notions that you do not want rubbing against your machine. I prefer the handle over a shoulder strap, so this feature was not important to me.

Very durable and easy to store.

This bag is fantastic!! It's large enough to fit two of the model sewing machines I have. This is perfect because I was able to get my machine in the bag as well as a packing cube full of fabrics (there even a piece that's 30'X10'), another packing cube with my notions and the front pocket holds my scissors and sewing books. I'm moving to South America and needed a way to bring my sewing machine. This kept me from having to spread everything out in multiple bags. This bag is large and compact at the same time. Perfect.The machine is packed in the bag with the pedal and cord tucked under the arm of the sewing machine behind the needle. Then I covered it with my home-sewn machine cover. The packing cube with all the fabric went next to it (medium ebags packing cube). Then one of the smaller, long, ebag packing cubes with my notions went on top of the other packing cube. There is room to put a small packing cube in the front or back as well.
