I was immediately impressed with the build quality of this device. Solid metal and not cheap plastic, and a very practical slide mechanism to use either USB-A or USB-C. I used in a M1 MacBookAir and was not able to quite reach the 1000Mb/s. Their technical staff were very helpful in sorting this out. Perhaps heat adjusted speeds down. Or my thought is that the M1 chip may have an issue as I have read comments online about problems with other manufacturers high speed USB-C enclosures with M1 Macs. This may require trial use with Silicon Macs but buyers should not worry with the great support provided from this seller.

Works amazingly well. Much faster than the other thumb drives I have. Not only is the speed good but it looks really cool and is built very well. Having the availability of USB A on one end and USB C on the other makes it really easy to transfer things from my old laptop to my new in that only has USB C ports. Great product
