ADHD-ers, this is for you
It helps me stay on track. My friend teaches special education and they use them for their students as well.

Quality timer with nice alarm
This is a great timer. The color's obvious from across the room, and the alarm is pleasant. It's also easy enough to use that my 5yo can set it herself (which I guess does have its downsides lol).

Useful Battery-Powered Timer for Focus Time. Noiseless Operation With Optional Digital Beeping Alarm
This review is for the Time Timer MOD Timer (Color - Metallic Indigo). I received a free taxable sample of this timer to review in my search for a way to easily engage in focus time. The timer is made out of plastic with a protected rounded square face, weighs 99.4 grams without the battery, and measures 3 ½” x 3 ½” x 2”. The timer is powered by an AA-sized battery (not included) and as tested can operate using a rechargeable battery. Set into the center of the face is a black-colored knob which can be twisted counterclockwise to increase the amount of time and twisted clockwise to decrease the amount of time. The amount of time remaining is cleverly represented by a metallic light indigo-colored paper strip that covers up a 2” diameter section in the center of the darker indigo background of the timer face. The face is at a slight tilt of approximately 20 degrees and the combined effect with the color scheme is that the time remaining is easily readable and almost appears as if the face is lighted.Something notable about this timer is that the operation is noiseless with no ticking, humming, or otherwise noticeable sound except for the optional alarm. There is no minimum time that needs to be set for an alarm, and the time can be set anywhere from 0-60 minutes. The timer doesn’t lock to the nearest minute so the time can theoretically be set in partial minute values with the flip side being that the accuracy wouldn’t be to the second, but during testing the timer was within 15 seconds of a digital timer. The beeping alarm can be enabled by a physical sliding switch on the back and is four sets of two digital beeps when enabled. The timer has worked great as a way for me to quickly get started with focus time. I like that it’s a physically separate and easily portable option from the distractions on my mobile device and that it’s a single twist and turn process to set some time aside and focus on a task without having to constantly refer to how much time has elapsed. I also like that you can set the timer to not alarm and potentially continue without interruption once you’re locked in.All in all, this is a nicely constructed and functional timer with a neat and easily readable look. I recommend this as a great option to help engage in focus time.

Great visual aid for ADHD time blindness
My family has some members that are gifted with ADHD brains - it gives them some wonderful advantages and skills, but obviously there are some drawbacks as well. The most noticeable is time blindness which can cause a lot of friction.I love this visual timer because it’s a great way to help show the abstract of time as a concrete visual measurement and without nagging. I can set this timer down and depending on the situation I can choose to turn on the alarm or keep it silent. I appreciate that it doesn’t tic ominously at the person requiring the visual aid as that just adds pressure to them.So far it has been responsive each time I have set it, still working on the same set of batteries so it seems to have good battery life. We have not dropped it (yet) and hopefully it stays that way, but it does feel quite solid and sturdy so I expect it will last us for quite time time.

Slick little timer
Nice little timer! It can be set up to an hour in length and it runs down accurately. Silent operation (no ticking) and when time is up it beeps kind of like an alarm clock, but you can also set it to be silent at the end of its time.I really like the styling of it. I got the hunter green one and it has sort of an old school vibe to it. It has a tan/brown paper look to it when you set the time, and as it runs down it goes back to green. As it runs down it's almost imperceptible that there was ever any color other than green on the face of it, very slick system.Perfect for cooking, studying, or anything else that needs to be timed (I use it mainly for cooking).

Great for kids!
I love using visual timers to help kids grasp the concept of a period of time. Mama needs you to play for 30 minutes so she can make dinner—and bam, they can see how long they need to leave me alone for, and even check up on how much time is left! We had a visual timer that we used all the time for taking turns with toys, but that timer only went up to 20 minutes. This will be very useful for some longer tasks like cooking and phone calls. There are two options for sound, one that has no sound and one that goes off with a “beep beep, beep beep” standard timer sound. It’s the perfect size to use around the house or even take with you.
