Works great!!! Love being able to program the lights and pumps in a single module. the only thing I would want them to add would be the ability set the feeding timer (On the pumps controller )to be set on specific days and times. Looking forward to testing the sound as well. Maybe add Wifi to check when you're away 😁.

This should be the standard equipment with all Orbit lights on account that if you have the lights and want new pumps, it can all be integrated into one nice, neat hub that is easy to use and control all aspects of pump & light cycles through your phone. The official sight doesn't offer much in the way of support but instead directs you to YouTube for tutorials. I guess that should be expected in today's tech age.

OK so first thing is first- the Orbit system is OK, but good Lord I couldn't program anything with the silly remote it had. So this bluetooth controller comes out and I get very excited. FINALLY I can just plug in on and off times with my phone.GOOD NEWS- It does that.BAD NEWS - It doesn't do it very well.OK, so the bluetooth connection is tenuous. Sometimes you have to restart the app, but it generally works. The interface is kinda.. dumb. There's literally no ON or OFF button. All of the pre-created settings only last for thirty minutes before reverting. It only lets you customize so much, too.It will let you coordinate DAYTIME and EVENING and NIGHT TIME settings, which is pretty much all I wanted. It will also coordinate those with Orbit powerheads if you're a total nerd and want to customize the flow of water for different currents.Just a head's up- DON'T. Their powerheads are the buggiest, worst piece of junks I have ever repurchased eight times. They are underpowered, WAY over expensive, and they just die sometimes within a week, sometimes within a month. They are very poorly designed. This system is a very poor reason to buy them- just spend $20 on a non fancy powerhead and you will be so much happier.At some point my Bluetooth module decided to not connect to any phones. That's fine, just reset it, right?Well, resetting it can only be done THROUGH THE APP. When connected. There is actually no physical reset button or setting on the unit. None! So if it stops reading bluetooth, uh.. well.. your tank just stops running. Pressing the button will set it to an ambient mode, so at least I could turn the lights on.TL;DR: You DO need to purchase this. It works way better than the remote controls, and Current controls lighting systems pretty well. But it's far from perfect, and it might actually be buggy-- I had to purchase another one to get my tank operating again. I don't think that's a common issue, though.3 points for Hufflepuff for creating a unit that is useful and generally works, but it is stupid expensive, poorly designed, and a bit buggy.

This is a neat addition with a few drawbacks.The ability to control everything from my phone is awesome. The biggest drawback is the monitor and remote from the original purchase are now unusable. Hopefully there will be an update allowing you to use these.The audio of the storm is a nice feature, but they are working on an update. Currently the thunder and the lightning strikes are pretty much unrelated as far as timing.I’m planning another smaller reef tank, but I don’t think I will add this to my next tank.

Its really easy to configure and made it works on iPhone

So I purchased the current usa orbit ic dual lights, wave pumps, dc return pump. Everything worked great. Then I added this loop bluetooth controller module. First you lose all those pretty Display Controllers, Wave pump Display And all remotes. Now I have a box of worthless stuff that I imagine added to the price of all these items. My dc pump hub was not bluetooth compatible, Current support quickly sent me out a compatible one for free. Very good customer service. The problems, does not stay connected, iPad mini and iPhone X, press the middle button and most of the time it does nothing Changing colors, blue green purple, have to unplug everything to reset it and hope it finally connects to the app. When it does the dc return pump goes on at 100% even thought the dial is set to 30% this is a fun experience, ended up switching back to the old hub not connected to the bluetooth controller. The limited manual you get has a web link for the full one but is not there. This would be a great product if it just worked, could keep the displays and remote, Love the audio of the ocean, and thunderstorms.I noticed current usa has a new product for freshwater called Serene. Maybe they should have focused on fixing this one first.

Love this Bluetooth controller it made using the loop system so much easier I would buy this again tomorrow
