ZAGG Pro Keys 2 iPad Pro 13" (M5)/ Pro 13" (M4) Keyboard Case

I’m really happy with this keyboard case. If you read my review on the piece of garbage I wasted money on before buying this you’ll understand. For years I’ve had an iPad Pro, now the M4 13” and for years I kept replacing the Apple Magic Keyboards I bought to go with them. After a while I decided I could probably take myself on a nice overseas vacation instead of continually buying that keyboard. ANYWAAAAAAY, I digress. This is a Bluetooth case, and it does need to be charged, but the charge lasts for a couple of weeks with light iPad use, about seven days with heavy, 16 hr/day use. The keyboard features the things that I need such as keys to brighten or dim the iPad, raise or lower the volume, etc. I also like the layout of the keyboard itself and the proximity of keys to one another. The stand is super solid, and rotates only when you move it. The only thing that will make me change this review is if, in six months time, the thing just breaks. I don’t see that happening. It may not be made in the USA, but the construct is solid.

Failed After About 14 Months — Very Disappointing I purchased this ZAGG Pro Keys 2 in June 2025. It worked well at first, but after about 14 months it failed. The problem started when the entire number row stopped working, while the letter keys still worked. Shortly afterward, the keyboard stopped powering on altogether. It now shows no charging light, power light, or Bluetooth pairing light. I tested it with a known-good USB-C charger and cable, charged it for an extended period, reset it, removed and re-paired Bluetooth, and followed ZAGG troubleshooting steps. Nothing fixed the problem. I contacted ZAGG, but they would not replace it because the one-year warranty had expired. For a keyboard in this price range, I expected it to last much longer than 14 months. A product that fails shortly after the warranty ends is very disappointing. I would not buy this keyboard again.

I’ve been using the ZAGG Pro Keys 2 Keyboard Case with my iPad Air 13 (M2) for a few weeks now, and it’s been a game changer! Here’s why I highly recommend it: 1. Typing Experience: The laptop-style backlit keys are incredibly comfortable to type on. The tactile feedback is satisfying, and the adjustable backlighting is perfect for low-light environments. It genuinely feels like typing on a high-quality laptop. 2. Versatility: The detachable folio case is a great feature. When I don’t need the keyboard, I can easily remove it and use the folio as a lightweight protective case. It’s super convenient for switching between work and play. 3. Multi-Pairing Bluetooth: I love the multi-pairing capability! I can seamlessly switch between my iPad and another device, like my phone or computer, without any hassle. It’s a productivity booster. 4. Durability: The 6.6 ft drop protection gives me peace of mind, especially when I’m on the go. The case feels sturdy, and the materials used are clearly high quality. 5. Battery Life: The battery life is impressive. I’ve only charged it once, and it’s still going strong after several days of regular use. 6. Design: The sleek and professional design complements the iPad Air perfectly. It doesn’t add unnecessary bulk, and the magnetic closure keeps everything secure. If you’re looking for a keyboard case that enhances your iPad Air experience, the ZAGG Pro Keys 2 is a fantastic choice. It’s a bit of an investment, but the quality and functionality are worth every penny. Highly recommended!

I bought this cover+keyboard combo because my official Apple keyboard case broke and I just couldn't bring myself to pay the Apple tax for a new one. I was disappointed to find this version was so heavy. I also found it tricky to fit the ipad into the cover, but it's not something I'd do over and over again, so that's not a deal-breaker. The case is well made, the keyboard is sturdy and satisfying so I'll probably just put up with it until I'm ready for a new iPad. Unfortunately, my Ipad is no longer my go travel device. It's also not the ideal device for my bed-office since the stand is better suited to a flat, stable surface.

It took me less than 5 minutes to put this back n the box and send it back. Even before I removed it from the package, i could tell it was going to be a fail. The box weighed over twice as much as my iPad. Sure enough... it was bulky monstrosity. But the biggezt fail is that it wont stand reliably when the keyboard is removed. it doesn't have grooves or other notches to secure the ipad in place. It relies on magnets that barely work without any bumping or shaking. Doubtful it would work on a train, in a car or even in an airplane. The keyboard, for what it is, seems fine. I didn't even bother pairing it because the ergonomics were terrible. Also.. one color to choose from? Clearly Zagg didn't have much confidence in this product if they didn't even bother to offer at least one other color. Anyway. It's bad. Give it a pass.

Everything works as advertised. Sturdy case, adjustable screen, detachable keyboard. Very easy to use. That is what gets it the high rating. But one downside everyone needs to be aware of. Your iPad will triple in weight. The case and keyboard are very heavy. I wasn’t ready for how much added weight there was. Product works great, just be aware of this intangible.

ZAGG Pro Keys 2 for iPad Air 11” M4 Bought the ZAGG Pro Keys 2 specifically for my iPad Air 11” M4 because I wanted a clean keyboard case without a trackpad. Perfect choice, it delivers exactly what I needed. Pros: Outstanding typing experience: scissor keys with satisfying travel, quiet clicks, and no fatigue even after hours of writing. Extremely secure magnetic attachment, iPad locks in solid with zero flex or wobble. Exceptional battery life: still at ~85% after 3+ weeks of heavy daily use with backlight always on. Premium build quality and good drop protection. Front cover doubles as a stable multi-angle stand; seamless iPadOS integration with instant wake/sleep. Cons: None relevant to my needs. Overall: 10/10 Best keyboard case I’ve tried for users who prefer pure typing focus. Highly recommended if you want maximum comfort and minimal distractions. Best value for money in this category, premium typing quality and battery life without paying extra for features I didn’t want.

A Game-Changer for My iPad Pro: ZAGG Pro Keys 2 Review The ZAGG Pro Keys 2 keyboard case has completely changed how I use my iPad Pro 13. I was hesitant about whether a keyboard case could truly make a difference, but this one exceeded my expectations. First impressions: The case feels premium right out of the box. It’s lightweight yet sturdy, and the detachable design is incredibly practical. I also love the backlit keys, which give it a professional, polished feel and make it so easy to work in any lighting. Performance: The typing experience is smooth and responsive—almost like using a high-end laptop. The keys are well-spaced and offer just the right amount of feedback, making typing comfortable for long stretches. Plus, the battery life is phenomenal. I’ve been using it for weeks without needing to recharge. Versatility: This case goes beyond being just a keyboard. The stand is sturdy and adjustable, making it perfect for work, streaming, or browsing. The Apple Pencil holder is a nice touch, keeping everything organized and within reach. Durability: I’m someone who’s constantly on the go, so I appreciate how protective this case is. It has already saved my iPad from a couple of drops, and it still looks brand new. Overall, the ZAGG Pro Keys 2 is a must-have for anyone looking to boost their productivity with their iPad Pro. It’s reliable, stylish, and worth every penny. Highly recommended!

I returned after 2 days. The back rest for the tablet has only one angle available and seemed flimsy to me. The keyboard did have a very good feel, but the lack of a trackpad was a hinderance. I was expecting a more versatile set-up
