Good build! has a residue though
Good for the visual, but not quite as good at lego. I mean, it fits and is fairly sturdy, but it has a film on it. They give you gloves to guard against this, but it seems like it would be an easy fix to somehow get rid of the oil or residue off of the pieces. And, as a mom, most 'residues' have some sort of warning, and I'm curious if it is totally 'safe' - you know? I don't really know what the residue is, I'm sure it's some sort of processing film from the manufacturing, etc. Anyway, kids are building it but not as excitedly as when they get new legos because of the residue. The look is awesome, though!

Great value, definately worth the money!
This was a Christmas gift for my son. He enjoyed building it and came complete. No missing pieces and nice stickers. It like pretty tall and has moving joints. Will buy again!

Cool, but missing so many critical pieces
I REALLY wanted to like this kit. It looks great. Assembly is good, and the pieces are solid. The problem is that I am in the middle of step 3 of the 5 step assembly process, and I am missing at least 9 pieces, and probably more. And the pieces are critical to the assembly - they have other pieces on top of them, and are required for completion.I completed step 1 with the bags marked “1”I completed step 2 with the bags marked “2”To get half way through step 3, I have now opened all of the bags marked “3”, “4”, and most of the “5”s.So, as cool as it should look, you should have very little confidence you will get enough pieces to complete the build.EDIT: Amazon sent me a free second set, so I was able to finish building. I ended up missing 42 pieces out of the first set, and 2 pieces out of both sets - They called for 2 dark green pieces and I substituted silver pieces instead - same shapes, but different colors. This would have been impossible to build with only the first box of parts.

One of my favorite Gundams!
I got this and built it. During the build I did have about 5 missing pieces. Contacted Amazon and they sent a replacement really quick. I finished building it and I gotta admit it's a really cool looking gundam once built. I stood it over one of my 1/100 scale models and it stands taller than it. I recommend this model as it was fun to put together

Excellent kit with stellar instructions, numbered bags, quality pieces, and very clear pictures!
This kit is amazing and stellar in every way that I've wanted out of a LEGO-style kit, with well-made pieces that click together securely, incredibly well-done instructions, numbered bags that you're told when to use, and pictures that make the instructions intuitive and easy to follow. The finished 'horse dragon' is incredible, I only wish my camera would focus on it at all so I could show a good picture of how cool it looks! Just like the pictures in the product images. It's pretty complicated so I can't imagine someone younger than 12 completing it, at the very least without adult supervision, and it's perfect for adults.I really don't have any complaints about this kit, the only negative is that there aren't very many leftover/extra pieces so you need to be careful to find any pieces you drop. The instructions for this are incredibly well thought out, at every step I found it easy to tell exactly what I was doing and with which pieces. They show you each piece you're assembling before you start on it, tell you which numbered bags to use for the steps, and each step is just a few pieces that are easy to follow and put together. And after each step, the previous pieces are greyed out so the new pieces you're adding are clear in the next step. It isn't 'one bag per part' though so you should definitely make sure to keep each bag separate, don't pour them out together. These pieces all look like they're LEGO-compatible, though a small few of them seem like they'd be counted as 'illegal bricks' just because they're a bit too specific compared to how they'd be done by the brand-name. But by far, all of the pieces seem like ones I've seen in actual kits of LEGO builds in the past, outside of the stickers of course. There are stickers that you have to put on the blocks/pieces after you've built parts. The stickers are all numbered and they tell you where and when to put each sticker, but they don't tell you which orientation beyond showing you, and because some of the colors are hard to gauge, you have to look pretty closely to figure out how to angle them to achieve the right look. Additionally, the stickers obviously can't be removed and re-used, so you would need to look ahead to see which pieces are the ones with stickers during the steps, if you disassemble it and put it back together at a later point.I only review things that I personally use myself on a regular and continued basis. I always give my full, honest, unbiased and unfiltered opinion on everything I review. I will not mince words. I write exactly what I think about things - the good, the bad, the ugly, and the questionable. And, I will update my review if something breaks, stops working as intended, or otherwise doesn't hold up as expected.
