I like this kit
I'm in the middle of this build right now and I'm here to say, for a guy who doesn't build a lot of wingy things, I like this kit. Also, for an Italeri kit, the fit and finish is what I'd expect from Tamiya. The fuselage halves went together without a noticeable gap and without having to use a bunch of rubber bands to hold it from stem to stern. The same with the wings when; no gaps in the halves or when they attached to the fuselage. If the rest of the build goes as well as the first part, this is going to turn into a great model. This C-47 is going to be a memorial build of sorts. I had a cousin who flew one of these for the 2nd Combat Cargo Squadron in the CBI during WW2. Unfortunately, he was killed in a crash one morning shortly after take-off from his airfield in India. Since I've got the accident reports from that day that include the aircraft number of his plane, I'm going to try to build this plane as his.

flew on one of these.
Nice model. What else can I say except I think you take this a little far with limiting number of words I must use, or That I have to write anything. I think I should be offered the opportunity to write something about my order but don't make it a requirement.I would do more of these evaluations If I could Just check the blocks that I received it on time and in good shape and mark the stars.

A classic that keeps on going
This is a great kit, very reasonably priced. It has been around for decades for a very good reason

Research well.
Oh boy! I waited for this kit for a long time inspired by the real C47s I saw in England. I was excited to finally get the kit especially after seeing a rave review on You Tube. Decal instruction pretty much not present. Difficult to tell how the fuselage black and white invasion stripes were to be placed. One wing fit was very challenging. Lotsa trimming and putty to make it look okay. I enjoyed the option of an open door where paratroopers jumped from and glued on a line at the door attached to a 1/48 military figure; that way he would appear closer to the viewer. Price is fine and with all said I could recommend it. Italeri kits will be last on my list though. Revell has come a long way with quality and Tamiya is always a good bet!
