Absolutely love my new egg boiler. Far better than my previous one as it’s better quality, German make, the lid is much thicker so I should imagine after several uses, it will continue to close properly unlike my previous one. The design is very eye catching which means I can display it on the work surface and not inside the cupboard. Out of sight out of mind! As for its simplistic design, making it easy to wash everywhere and it goes with my contemporary style beautifully. Finally, its functionality is superb. It comes with a measuring cup and I don’t get drips on the sides like my previous one. I think that’s because of its solid build throughout. I highly recommend trying it.

It's water saving, compact, convenient and does the eggs like it says in the instructions. If you follow instructions you get the results you want but I would consider the size of eggs you place in the device as this will have an outcome on hardness. Large eggs weigh more, take more time to cook etc. Easy to clean, timer alarm is loud enough. Took 1 star off as I have reservations about the plastic lid, I am careful with it but I don't think it will last. I travel with this item in its original box.

After daughter threw out my old saucepan which I saved and used for boiling my morning eggs, as we live in a hard water area, I was trying to decide between another cheap saucepan or this electric egg boiler. Was so glad I purchased this, it is so easy to use and no more timing my eggs and both toast and eggs are ready at the same time.So easy to clean, I wipe down after every use then, I leave white vinegar soaked kitchen roll on hot plate weekly to remove the scaling caused by the hard water.

I have used KRUPS egg cookers all my life with great satisfaction, but had to get the Arendo as the only other comparable product available last year. I did not like it from first use: it is unnecessary complex in design and hard to clean (a complex three-dimensional water base) and it has a terrible shrieking sound. After only a few weeks of daily use, it set off the alarm before water was evaporated, to a degree that I could no longer rely on it. I strongly discourage from buying this item.

Arrived in good time and is a stylish egg timer it has all the features for hard medium or soft eggs which work as described can highly recommend the product and seller 5*+

I bought this to replace an egg boiler I’d bought in Germany 15 years ago which had finally given up the ghost.I’m very pleased with it so far. It came with a UK three pin plug thankfully so I can get rid of my two pin adapter sticking out the plug socket.It cooks the eggs quickly and I’ve found it accurate at cooking them to the required softness or hardness.So far I’ve tried it with soft, medium and hard and with 2, 3, 4, and 5 eggs they all seemed to come out exactly as they should.It hasn’t boiled over ever (touch wood), which I’m pleased about as my old one used to do that sometimes and was a constant worry when I’d find it sitting in a pool of water whilst plugged into the mains.The filling with water is quite simple too, you just fill it to the lines indicated on the side of the plastic container for soft, medium or hard and the number of eggs you’re cooking.You need to make sure to click the on/off button the left and it buzzes when they are done. It tells you this in the instruction book. It says if you click to the right this is only a ‘keep warm’ function, only for pre-cooked hard boiled eggs and it therefore doesn’t have a buzzer. Maybe this is what the people are doing who say it doesn’t have a buzzer.The loudness of the buzzer is fine. It’s pretty loud. If it buzzes in my kitchen it’s loud enough that I can hear it fine when I’m in another room, with the TV on or there are people talking. Don’t need more than that.The stainless steel water tray is easy to wipe clean after use. I’m in a soft water area, I don’t know if that makes a difference.
