Yes, it is fine but if you can stretch to a 7D or a 70D these would be much better for motor sport as they have a very fast processor. The 100D is an excellent camera but you might find it has to buffer quite a lot on motor drive. You can get a used 7D for the same price as a new 100D, or a little but more, from firms like MPB.
