It's a convenient solution that saves time and effort in the post-processing stage. Environmentally Friendly: In addition to its convenience, the water washable nature of this resin is also environmentally friendly. By eliminating the need for alcohol-based solvents, it reduces the environmental impact associated with traditional resin printing methods. This aligns with my commitment to sustainability and responsible manufacturing practices, making it a win-win solution for both me and the planet. Excellent Print Quality: Despite its water washable properties, this resin delivers exceptional print quality. Excellent Resin for 3D Printing
Fantastic Resin! The odor is not nearly as pungent as others. It prints so detailed, it washes easily, clean up is a breeze, and it cures so flawlessly. Itโs also really strong and durable. It sands, primes, and paints with ease. I highly recommend this product. I only use Elegoo resins for their proven quality. I have already ordered more of this 8K. Surprisingly Smooth Prints, No Cracks, Great Value Resin
I've used four bottles of the grey and one jug of vanilla, mostly for miniatures and 1:6 scale figures, and both colors are impressive in their own ways. The grey really makes details pop, even tiny creases and textures in clothes or armor come through cleanly. Itโs an excellent neutral tone for painting or displaying raw. The vanilla has a soft, semi-translucent look that feels more natural and is perfect for sanding and priming. The texture when cured is very smooth, not brittle or chalky. You get a nice hard finish that holds detail without flaking or cracking. Iโve never had prints split or warp, even with thin pieces. The thickness of the resin out of the bottle is just rightโnot watery, but not too thick either, which helps reduce bubbles and keeps flow consistent in the vat. No leakage issues with any of the bottles I've received. The caps stay tight, and I havenโt had resin creeping out during storage. I leave this in my printerโs vat for days sometimes with no curing or separation, though I stir it before reusing. Value for money? Absolutely. Itโs priced lower than a lot of 8K resins, especially considering itโs water washable. That alone saves on IPA costs and cleanup time. Just rinse with water and a soft brush (included with every bottle), cure your rinse water in the sun or a good UV flashlight, and you're done. For me, this resin hits the sweet spot of quality, convenience, and affordability.

Good definition, brittle - use for static high def models, not for articulated
ELEGOO 8K Water Washable Grey ~$22. Printer: Halot Mage S Low viscosity, excellent detail. Pictures in the listing pretty accurate color. Brittle curing material - very little flex, rafts tended to snap rather than peel off the plate. Odor is normal for a water-wash. Cleanup required two passes (rinse, soft brush where needed, dry), final cure was a nice matte. Great for models or static display, may be ok from terrain or minis with few small parts. Consider a different formula for something with lots of swords, flags, antenna, hoses, or other extended delicate bits. NOTE: used this to print the Amazon Project Hail Mary articulated and static Rocky files. *Far* too brittle for the articulated assembly. Pic: Ameralabs Town test print

ELEGOO's Water Washable Resin: A Critical Hit for D&D Printing Quests!
As a seasoned dungeon master in the realm of 3D printing, I embarked on a quest to find the perfect resin for my trusty ELEGOO Mars 4 Max Printer. Lo and behold, the ELEGOO Water Washable 3D Printer Resin emerged as the heroic champion, ready to face the trials of miniatures and terrain printing for my beloved D&D campaigns. This magical elixir of resin performed with the precision of a well-aimed Magic Missile. The models that emerged from my printer were as flawless as a perfectly rolled natural 20. The details were so crisp and accurate that even my party members (figuratively speaking) marveled at the craftsmanship. What truly set this resin apart was its water-washable nature. Like a cleric casting a cleansing spell, I simply washed my prints in water, and any residue vanished like a wizard's spell book in the hands of a rogue. No more dealing with messy and foul-smelling solvents โ just a splash of water, and my prints were ready for the next encounter. I happily bestowed upon this resin a well-deserved five stars, much like the constellation guiding adventurers to their destiny. My fellow questers, if you seek a resin that's more reliable than a dwarven blacksmith and cleaner than a freshly cast Prestidigitation spell, look no further than ELEGOO's Water Washable 3D Printer Resin. It's a critical hit for your D&D printing quests โ may your rolls be ever in your favor!

Perfect Resin for Printing
This is the only resin I have ever used and so far it is the only one I'll use. Since it is resin it does have as odor but it will not knock you off your feet. My first few prints I used a mask as a precaution and then the following times the smell was barely noticeable, but obviously use it in a ventilated area. I washed my prints in a bowl of water (using gloves) and the "film" around my prints washed away. To get rid of the water I leave the bowl outside in the sun for the resin to cure. Now if you do this, your bowl or whatever container you use will forever smell like resin unless you use a degreaser or hard cleaner, but soap and water will not get rid of the smell. Now to get rid of the water after curing the left-over resin is up to you. There's guidelines to not let the water down the sink, or flush it down the toilet, or down the shower drain for it can destroy your pipes or damage the local water source; so use your own discretion to rid yourself of the water if going to your local waste disposal site isn't doable. Now to clean the plate and vat I wipe away the resin with a paper towel and then use rubbing alcohol to ensure everything is spotless. I haven't had issues yet. Personally I use this resin with the Anycubic Photon Mono. I did NOT change any of the settings when printing and I have not had a single failed print or misaligned layers. After curing my prints are solid; I only have problems when I cure my prints longer than five minutes which leads to my prints warping and separating, so only one cycle. After curing my prints hold the resin odor for less than an hour and then the smell is gone, this always happens regardless of how small or large my prints are. I have not used any other resin and I cannot see myself using anything else since this is perfect.

So much easier to deal with
I am new to resin printing. I have had a FDM printer for a long time now. I was concerned for a long time about dealing with the resin. The cost of having to have a lot of alcohol on hand, the odor, and keeping everything clean was concerning to me. Decided to try the washable resin to see how it did. I was initially concerned that this would be inferior to regular resin and although easier to deal with, would create worse prints or be more fragile than regular resin. I am glad to say my fears have been unfounded. The prints so far have come out fantastic and with great detail. I have had a few issues, but that was due to support layout (learned my lesson about using the autosupport function in my slicer, it isn't close to enough supports). The cleanup has been a breeze with just water. I also got a small ultrasonic cleaner. Works so great with just plain water. I found that a 3 step cleaning process gets all the lose resin off. I use a pickle bin first to rinse it right from the printer to get the heavy stuff off. I swish it in basket for 10 seconds or so. I then remove the supports and put in the ultrasonic cleaner and run that for 4 minutes. I change the water and run again for another 4 minutes. After that I let air dry and then cure when fully dry. That process took some trial and error. My first prints I just washed in the pickle jar and was getting a heavy white powdery stuff on the print. Did some googling and determined I wasn't cleaning enough. I then used the ultrasonic and it got better but not perfect. That is when I did the second wash with clean water and then fully air dried the pieces before curing and now I get perfect prints with no powdery stuff on the outside. I also don't have to do a lot of manual scrubbing that I don't have time for. I figure the cost of the ultrasonic cleaner is definitely offset by the fact that I don't need any isopropyl alcohol at all. Which is good because that stuff stinks up my shop when I use it. Speaking of odors, the resin does have a slight odor. You can smell it and it has a distinct odor, but I don't think it is strong at all and so far has not been a problem which is good because I can be sensitive to odors. With the lid closed on my printer and the bottle closed, I don't smell anything. Only when pouring new stuff in the vat do I smell something and then it quickly dissipates.

Brittle to the Point of Useless--but Elegoo's support is rock solid!
[update] The WW resin remains brittle, however Elegoo's customer support is veracious and unfailing. Upon their reading of my review, and without any contact iitiated by myself, they contacted me and offered a bottle of resin of any sort (my selection) to make things right. You cannot beat that for customer support. This and other situations in which they have proven their commitment to me will keep me a loyal customer and booster of their products--if you have a problem let them know--they will do all they can to make it not a problem. Elegoo products and support = HIGHLY recommended. I will add that in "using up" the water washable resin I found it quite suitable for things that need to be solid and hard. FOr example I designed and printed a simple 90ยฐelbow adapter for the chemical tank of our water treatment system. For that object the cured resin performs quite nicely (see photo). The female hose fitting (a hose repair connector) is epoxied into the printed elbow. [/update] The thought of washing up with water had great appeal, however I find that after final curing the finished product is so brittle as to be worthless for any model having finer details (or even not that fine). AS an example I had planned on printing up a number of "Jack -O Covids" (see photo) for the grandchildren--however once complete i found them so brittle as to be totally unsuitable for anything to be given to a child--even 8-year-olds having brains enough to not eat their toys. The prints are so brittle that even a good strong look will break off the projecting thingys (I don't know what they are called). I have also found that in final curing--be it in sunlight or forced via a 30 W 405 nm LED--any junctures such as that at the Covid's "pods" to body juncture--will develop stress fractures, causing the models to literally burst apart while being cured. I will NOT be buying it again.

Excellent water-washable resin
This is a fantastic water-washable resin with excellent detail observable, easy cleaning process and great price. I had tried another water-washable resin brand before but this blew it out of the water. Excellent results! I haven't experienced any cracking or warping of prints outside of one item I accidentally left submerged in water overnight - so don't do that. Other than that, I have found that curing them as soon as you can after washing is the best course of action to ensure that it doesn't become soft and lose its shape.
