Talon Fixed Blade Tactical Knife with Bonus Belt Holder Sheaths

You will not find a more solid, heavy duty pure metal blade with so much functionality for the price. The tang (blade handle) runs past the grip all the way to the tip of the knife. Spots to tie on a paracord or rope to turn into a spear if needed, extremely sharp, and both a cloth and kydex sheath are included. This blade meets all survival demands from wielding for defense, skinning, gutting, or you name it!!! Would make an excellent gift for someone into survival, guns, or just an amazing knife.

I've found my new favorite fixed blade, Hoffman Richter (HR) is one of my all time favorite knife makers, and I recently added the Talon to my HR collection. It has quickly leapt to the top of my favorite fixed blade knives. This is one solid, hefty, and likely indestructible knife that I expect will last me a life time of frequent use. The knife is built just as described in the product description, and is far more impressive to hold and use than the description gives it credit for. On a non-scientific or measured test I perform for sharpness, I think this knife arrived the sharpest of any I've ever purchased; I don't think I'll be able to sharpen it to exceed the sharpness level at which it arrived. This is the first knife I've ever received and didn't think I could, or even want/need to try, to get sharper. (I like my sharpening stones) I haven't yet needed to sharpen this blade, and after several days of relatively light use, but on tasks that will dull a blade to some degree, it still shaves my arm hair dry like it was a straight razor with shaving cream.

Its a good strong and sharp knife but both sheaths that came with it are junk. The plastic sheath leaves the blade loose with absolutely no retention at all so no cross draw or upside down vertical carry unless you want to loose a toe. The other sheath isn't even worth mentioning. I only paid $20 for it so the blade is worth more than that by itself but there's no hope when it comes to the sheaths. Get a kydex sheath made and you'll be happier.

This knife is awesome, I've stabbed metal paint buckets, pryied on heavy gauge wire, with very little maintaining of the blade turned right around and started to skin a pig chopped through a femur bone didn't even scratch the blade and kept skinning. Even better when processing the meat you have to get all the junky membranes and tendons off the meat and it blew me away at it's performance. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED. CON: It is heavy ......but your not going to break it unless your really careless , this knife should last a lifetime I throw knives as well , when this thing sticks it buries its self in so deep i could not pull it out without wiggling it, it was like Excalibur lol, you'll love im sure.

This knife is freaking AWESOME ! It weighs in at almost a pound, and I now have 2 of the HR Talons. I usually buy 2 of every knife HR has, so i can use one, and collect the other one. They are very worth the price, and they are truly built like a TANK. I recommend the HR " WOLF " for you people who enjoy camping, and hunting. All of the HR hunting knives have a full tang, and they are all metal, even the handle. When buying a hunting knife, you should keep the Hoffman Richter on your radar for sure.

The knife itself is awesome and has a good feel and weight. My issue is the hard sheath. Already lost 1 screw after only a week, and the 2nd screw is loose. And it’s some star headed screw that I can’t find anything to tighten it with.

Very happy with this purchase and product was delivered on time. First time buyer for this brand. I am impressed. The size, balance and weight of this knife feels great. Impressed with he sheaths also. The tactical sheath feels like good quality and the knife slides in smoothly and you can feel it lock in. I only rated 4 Stars because I haven't put it to use yet. I have high expectations for this knife and I feel like it will deliver. I will be using this knife for backpacking and my BOB.
