I have several pairs of these shorts (different sizes due to changing weight) and they are my go to for hip support. I broke my hip as a teenager and now have no cartilage in my hip and arthritis. I have not been able to find compression shorts for women that come anywhere close to offering the support of these shorts. I'm glad I took a chance on them several years ago. They are very thick and compressive and offer great support around the hips, thighs, and lower back. They end up being kind of high-waisted on me and that works out very well for providing extra lower back support. I feel locked in when I wear these and they allow me to get through exercises that I might otherwise feel to weak for on days where my arthritis acts up. I've even worn them in everyday life on particularly bad days. I think these would probably feel great for after a hip replacement. I'll be having one within the next few years and will make sure I have a few more pairs of these for recovery. They are expensive, but you definitely get what you paid for. So many other "compression" shorts are just thin and fitted, not actually compressive. The waistband has a decent amount of stretch so that you can get the compression you need everywhere else with a little bit of flexibility in the waist. The leg holes are also comfortable. I just wish they were made for women as well (without the center crotch seam) - with underwear under them, that seam is not too bad though.

These are the best thing that we found for my son's sprained hamstring. He wears them for football and for working out now. Other things we tried (like the sleeves for the thighs) just wouldn't work for his large thighs and would constantly roll down OR we couldn't find sizes big enough. With these, since they are shorts are perfect because they can't roll down. With my experience buying the other products for him, I originally ordered him a 3x and a 2x to see which fit better. I figured the 3x would be too big and I was right. The 2x was the right per measurements, but he said he felt like they could be a little tighter. So I ordered him an XL. He likes the XL better. We kept the XL and the 2x so he would have 2 pair. I highly recommend these.

For the price this product should be put together a lot a lot better. It work but it's not built to last. I gave it 3 stars only because it does work.

Bought this for my husband to help with hip flexor issues. Very comfortable. But did have issue of waist rolling down. Still a great product

I am waiting of hernia surgery and was sick and tired of trusses with straps up you butt, Velcro that won’t hold, every time you bend over it pulls your pants down. I knew there had to be a better solution. These compression shorts are awesome. As an old furniture guy I cut a nice big piece of memory foam and put that exactly where my tear is. It’s holds it place perfectly. I saw where someone had bad stitching, that’s what a needle and thread are for. Name one product that doesn’t tear every now and then. On my way to order another pair. These are flat out wonderful.

I usually wear Large underwear and gym shorts. I ordered these XL compression shorts and they are not even close to fitting me. I weigh around 225 but am athletic. Wear 36-38 shorts. Imo, they fit more like a Medium. I am reordering XXL's. Hopefully they will not be too big!!

I purchased three pairs of these compression shorts in March 2020 for $34.99 each: size, large. Since they worked well, I decided to buy two more pairs but at that point, I needed an X-large. Those were $44.63, a considerable increase in price.I purchased those in October 2023. It is now March 2024 (less than 6 months) and they are falling apart especially in the area between my inner thighs. They are torn and the elastic is gone. I am very disappointed and need to look at other options. For the increase in price, I would have hoped that these would have been much better.

I am a larger female with a hip issue. I started working out to try to lose weight, get healthy and hopefully help with the hip issue. I looked for compression shorts for women, but really didn't see any so started looking at men's. Found these and am so glad I got them! They do help with the hip pain during workouts. The extra compression that crosses the hip is great! I did order down a size from what was indicated on size chart and I'm glad I did! They are not too tight at all! Hoping I'll need to order the next size down soon!
