Great
As a fire inspector, I recently purchased the Emergency Exit Light Extendable Pole Tester, and it has proven to be an invaluable tool for my inspections! This extendable pole tester ensures safe and efficient testing of emergency exit lights and smoke detectors, aligning perfectly with my responsibilities to verify life safety systems. The pole’s adjustable length (up to 53 inches, as seen in similar products) allows me to easily test high-mounted exit lights and detectors without ladders, reducing safety risks during inspections. Its lightweight stainless steel construction is durable for frequent use, and the foam grip and insulated tip make it comfortable and safe to handle. The angled tip is ideal for pressing test buttons, even on recessed or small devices, ensuring accurate results every time. This tester complies with NFPA and OSHA standards, which is critical for my role in ensuring regulatory compliance. The detachable tip and included carrying bag make it portable and easy to store, perfect for moving between inspection sites. While some similar poles may flex slightly at full extension or have minor tip loosening, this one has been reliable and secure during my tests. This tool has streamlined my inspection process, saving time and eliminating the need for cumbersome equipment. For any fire inspector or facility manager, the Emergency Exit Light Extendable Pole Tester is a must-have for maintaining life safety systems efficiently and safely. Highly recommend—five stars!

Broke on first day of use.
Loved the longer reach and lighter weight than other wands I've used in the past. First day using it on a multisite inspection and after 20 or so light tests it started to fail to collapse. At mid day the top half of the pole pulled out and several little "support pieces" fell out as well. I was able to finish the day but the tool was broken and I wasn't able to reach a couple of lights as it would partially collapse since the "support pieces" were no longer in it. Did not even make to lunch on the first day before it failed.

Works great
I love this thing. I have to check all the smoke detectors in my adult care home monthly and this is perfect and get the job done in 5 min. I dont need a step stool.

Handy and Versatile!
This telescoping smoke detector tester pole is a handy tool! Ideal for reaching those smoke detectors that are too high to access without a ladder or step stool. It extends easily to reach my smoke detectors, but I primarily use it to hang clothing and handbags on high rods and hooks in my closet. It folds up neatly and comes with a convenient storage bag. Great product!

Does not lock in place properly
It’s usable but it does not lock in place properly so if you need to push hard it collapses.

FSNIWEKO Smoke Detector Tester Pole
Quite lightweight. The extension tubes are slotted and in order to secure the pole such that it doesn't collapse upon pressure you need to twist each section slightly to misalign the slots. Whether or not this is necessary will depend on where the test button is and how your detector is mounted. One of the product photos shows someone putting this tool into their front pocket but I don't really see that happening because the prongs but I guess if you had large pockets /shrug.Handle is wrapped in soft foam and it comes with a basic felt pound for storage.
