I LOVE THIS CAMERA STRAP! SAFE, COMFORTABLE and a GREAT VALUE!
There are only two reasons I take the time to write a review; I will leave feedback either to warn consumers not to make the same mistake as me in purchasing a product or to highlight a particularly exceptional purchase. This camera strap falls in to the latter category, while it may be a relatively inexpensive item (as far as camera equipment goes) but the VALUE of this item is worth noting! First, I wanted a strap that allowed the camera to hang near my waist instead of the "cheesey" straps that come with your camera, which barely hang down past your chin. I also wanted a strap with a relatively safe carry position while walking but would allow you to quickly get your camera up and snap a picture. This type of strap definitely met these requirements.FEATURES I REALLY LOVE about this item. It may not seem obvious, but photographers (pro and weekend hobbyists like me) trust a camera strap with some very expensive equipment. This is one accessory you don't want with a poor design or a constructed with sub-standard material. There are two really unique and cool safety features of this camera strap. First the safety tether system is anchored to the shoulder strap (see photos), NOT attached to the camera strap itself like many other similar products. If the strap fails, a safety tether will do you NO good if it is anchored to the failed strap. The safety tether of this item is solid and safe! A very big bonus and one of the primary reasons I decided to buy this strap. The second nice safety feature are the strap buckles with a secondary safety catch (see photos). these buckles aren't going to open accidentally, it requires attention and an extra press to unsnap them - yet still quick to operate.Comfort. The last reason I was interested in this strap was the extra strap which buckles under your arm. This keeps the shoulder strap right where you want it. The camera strap I've used previously is always sliding toward my neck or pivoting down my shoulder. It takes constant re-adjusting. This strap STAYS right where you want it to be - I LOVE IT! The strap itself is made of lightweight yet strong material, the very first day I received it, I took a 2 1/2 hour hike and I was pleasantly surprised with the comfort. I hardly noticed I had it on.Lastly there's the price. I would have purchased this product for double the amount it sells for and still considered it a bargain. I highly recommend this product and consider it a really great value. Go ahead an give it a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

What Do You Do When You Are Not Shiva?
O.K., you have two eyes, two arms, and two cameras and that is when you find yourself asking, what do I do with the cameras when traveling? The Prowithlin Camera Neck Strap w/Quick Release Plate and Safety Tether IS the answer!I used two straps for my trip to Kosovo, Northern Macedonia, Greece, and Bulgaria. The straps were very comfortable all day long. They did not slip off my shoulder and with the added security strap, on the camera and the under arm strap, let me focus on my shots. What was also nice, was the fact that you could easily remove the strap clip from the bottom of the camera and still have the safety strap attached, which allowed you to show your shots with piece of mind.Great product.

Needs improvement
First off there needs to be a strap that goes around the chest. I am constantly having to readjust the strap when actually using the camera because the weight of the camera is no longer holding the strap in place. Second even though this was advertised as universal left/right, it really isn’t. It is set up for using it on the left shoulder. The D-ring that the secondary strap attaches to is only on one side not both, so you can only use the secondary strap when wearing it on your left shoulder. the strap also caused a fair amount of pain in my shoulder after wearing it off and on for a week.

Super Comfortable - Carries Your Heavy DSLR Camera for You - GREAT CUSTOMER SVC
I absolutely LOVE this camera strap, but my Kodak AZ421-RD PIXPRO camera will not fit the tether strap. The eyelets are not regular size eyelets, they are much narrower. I am so disappointed my camera will not work with it, but I HIGHLY recommend this strap to anyone who has a heavy camera looking for a comfortable way to carry it. This shoulder strap is, in my opinion, unbeatable for that purpose. Also, when I was trying to get the strap to work, I contacted customer service through Amazon and they are EXTREMELY RESPONSIVE and very nice. If this will fit your camera, you can't go wrong. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Good for temporary use until you find a solid strap.
After having it during the summer, I had used it every few days each week. I've used it for a whole afternoon for about 5 hours, exploring the urban city with my canon 5D Mark iii. 50mm 1.8 Carl Zeiss Planar lens. It worked well until the plastic piece that connects the strap under your armpit, broke. I was unable to use the strap under my armpit for more security. The (multiple) rep(s) were able to send me a replacement, but I haven't put it to use. Their end of communication is prompt but can be misguided because it seemed like there were multiple people responding to my warranty. The screw attachment the secures underneath the camera can become loose if you don't tighten it enough. If you tighten it too much, then it can be difficult to unscrew from your camera. Since I used my camera a lot I kept the strap screw attached to my camera even when I had it stored, only because I was afraid that if I unscrewed the camera too often the screw would become less secure. The hook is definitely needed as a back up.

Not for me, but you might like it.
The quality of this strap seemed good. And it certainly does what it is intended to do (protect your camera). But I just found the whole setup to be rather cumbersome and ungainly. Simply put, it was too much. It got in the way and restricted movement. Also, I'm 5'10" and there was no way I could adjust the straps so that they provided me with fluid movement of my camera while holding it while also providing reasonable comfort when letting it hang. It's made well, I just didn't find it comfortable and opted to go with a simple neck strap with the additional safety feature. If "3" is average, I give this a 2 in that it was more of an impediment than an assistant. YMMV.

Has metal parts which, for me, are not camera friendly.
As described but the metal parts around the buckles are quite bulky and I don't trust them within scratching distance of my camera which limits it's usefulness. Scissors convert it to a very very small person's scarf.

This was a Christmas extra for my adult daughter. She loved it, it makes carrying her camera so comfy around her neck. Product is well made and beautifully packaged.

Well made
Excellent product. Seems really well made. Chunky bits of metal. Will see how it gets on out in the field and report back in a couple of months,

Kameragurt
