Great value for money. Easy to install
Was looking for an inexpensive dash cam and really glad I chose this one. The mirror at first sight looks a bit on the large size, but very quickly get used to it. The big advantage is that it make installation so much easier using a couple of the heavy duty rubber bands supplied with the camera and it is fixed to the existing rear view mirror. Didn't take many minutes to run the power supply cable from the decent adaptor power supply plugged into the cigar light, easy to do if you route it behind the sunvisor and then using the brilliant little blue device supplied to tuck it under the door trim rubber and under the front passenger carpet to the centre dash, Similarly with the rear camera, just run the cable along using the existing rubber door trims to conceal it for most of the way until you get close to the final location. Finding the best position for the rear camera took a bit of experimenting but it helps if you have someone handy to move the camera whilst you watch the image display in the mirror fitting. The menus on the camera are larger and clearer than the small dash cam on my neighbours car, and are easy to set up and follow, We have chosen the option to have “picture in picture” view showing mostly the front camera with a smaller rear cam image in top right quarter, but if & when you download the SD card to view the video on the PC it is saved in two separate folders, one for each camera. Picture quality is really good especially on the front camera. Don't forget to remove the small scratch protector discs of plastic from the lenses of both cameras as I did to start with, improves the quality so much !! Overall really pleased with this dash cam. Very good value for money, especially bearing in mind the rear camera supplied too, and build quality is good. Definitely recommended

So simple, wires in, plug and go, AND many more suprises.
What a simple system, my elderly neighbour has just bought a car and was having difficulty getting the hang of the reversing. I ordered this and was so glad I did, it acts a dash cam and a reversing camera which was a real bonus for them. Now my wife wants a reverse camera despite having sensors? and a dash cam, this little system and the menus are simple and far better quality than I would have expected. I laid it all loosely in place to start with, tested it all worked then hid the cables and that was job done, luckily my car 12v supply goes off with the ignition and the system turns on and starts recording when I start up and goes off when I take the keys out. There are also split screen views so you can watch back and front, and Picture in Picture views to do the same, and a still camera mode which would be very handy at the scene of an accident to have the footage and stills if necessary. I was worried about not having a normal clear mirror but it is excellent, you can have the camera view showing all the time your driving or, enable screensaver in the settings and (mine is set to 30 secs) once you pull off after 30 secs it reverts to a plain mirror but the camera still records in the background. There is a G sensor facility to lock any footage where a shunt has taken place so they will not be overwritten as well, What more could you want? at this price I would say grab one just for peace of mind they are superb value.

Very good with a few small flaws
I only wanted a reverse camera, and this seemed to be the simplest way of putting one in my Citroen Berlingo. With a lot of this sort of product I find that you can usually see 53 identical versions all marketed under slightly different names, showing that it's simply a badged up off the shelf Chinese knock off of something. Maybe this still is, certainly it's for sale by a LOT of sellers, but I was pleasantly surprised to see everything from the Box, to the literature and even the logo you see when turning the unit on were the same. Pros: 1) Instructions were very good, no terrible translations or gibberish. 2) Unit seems of good quality, physically 3) It fits very well over my existing mirror, and is much larger that it too 4) Touch screen works perfectly, although finger marks trigger my OCD! 5) Wire lengths were enormous 6) It's a doddle to use, once you have learned what the few icons mean Cons: 1) Once the unit is turned on and has 12v power, it will not turn itself off unless you do it manually or cut the power. As my unit is plugged into a permanently on 12v socket, it is always on, which drains the battery, unless I turn if off 2) If I turn it off, then when I use the parking monitor which is supposed to sense movement when the car is not in use and then briefly turn on, record a minute of video and turn it off again what essentially happens is that I turn it off, merely shutting the door triggers the movement sensor, which turns it on, and then *because it's connected to 12v permanently* it doesn't ever turn itself off! As such, I have to disable this feature, which is a shame, or it would drain my battery quickly like leaving lights on does 3) Even if I turn it off and don't use the parking monitor, the 12v power adapter has a bright red light that is always on. This reduced my car battery from 12.1v to 11.8v overnight when I tested it. I wouldn't want to leave the car for more than a couple of days without having to unplug it, which is a pain as the socket is in a roof glove box in the back of the car 4) The front camera rotates and swivels to help you center the recording, but it won't quite swivel far enough to the right to point centrally 5) As the cables plug in at the top, and by mirror is already quite high on the windscreen, it's pretty hard to get a position where normal rear mirror is a good angle, without affecting the front camera as they touch the roof. As it is, to get a full rear view, the front camera is pointing slightly left of center and capturing a lot of the "windscreen sun dots" that are at the top of many windscreens. This is as much to do with my car as the unit, so not criticism but worth bearing in mind - maybe a future model could recess the cable connections a little Overall, I was more pleased than I thought I would be for the price. I'm yet to use the reversing auto camera as I haven't ran that cable yet, but I look forward to doing to as that would mean I never have to touch the screen and get finger prints on it, but I'm happily using it manually until I do that. I'd give it 5 stars if the 12v adapter didn't have a bright light, and if the parking monitor would still turn the unit off even if it's connected to power - i.e. if *I* turn it on, leave it on, if it's turned itself on, it should turn itself off too

Pleasantly surprised and cost effective
There’s two main reasons why I write reviews, either it’s terribly bad or remarkably good. I acknowledge that others have written excellent reviews for reasons influenced by the free gift (16 GB Micro SD card) but I must be honest, I’ve written this review after testing out the product with a newly bought 32 GB micro SD card aiming to reduce reporter bias. My main objectives for a dash cam were: 1. Opportunity to use video evidence in the event of an accident 2. Low maintenance recording so it loops when recording on a memory card 3. Relatively hidden from sight 4. Fixed I.e, not needed to be removed once fitted I bought this dash cam for my mother after reading the details and reviews posted by others. I already had a dash cam in my car which to be honest is many years old. I had paid around £300 for it and it’s a very reputable brand. This one was almost 10% of what I paid so wasn’t expecting too much from it when it arrived. The product arrived promptly and packaged very well (see pics already posted by others). Installation was straight forward including tunnelling the cables around the car. I installed the rear facing camera inside the vehicle, top centre of the rear windscreen (instead of above the number plate). The reversing camera function kicks in if the red cable is attached to the reverse light cluster. After following the Haynes guide, I noticed that the Haynes was incorrect and that the red cable should be on pin 5 (as opposed to 4) on a Citroen C3. The 32 GB micro SD card was formatted in the unit and setup easily completed. The unit itself has a small internal battery which is used to complete recordings when the ignition is off and records if motion is detected whilst the car is parked. Excellent function as my expensive dash cam couldn’t do this unless connected using a power magic unit and installed directly from the battery terminals. The camera lens can be moved to centralise the image. Pulling down the passenger’s sun visor doesn’t impact on the dash cam on the C3. Daytime and nighttime recording was assessed. Unremarkable quality with date/time stamp. The rear camera functions very well and when reversing, four LED lights activate on the rear camera unit. As I’ve installed it inside the vehicle, the lights are causing interference with the image quality due to the reflection. This is entirely understandable as the camera is designed to be outside above the number plate. So in essence, when I compare it to my expensive dash cam ... it has HD video recording, a rear camera, reversing aid activated automatically when connected to the reverse light cluster, touch screen, internal battery for parking mode recording, loop recording and relatively fixed to the rear view mirror. For the price I paid, this dash cam has more than surprised me... it’s better than my £300 dash cam and the only niggle I can think of is the absence of a GPS receiver which would allow the dash cam to map the journey and speed of the vehicle. Needless to say, all my objectives have been met and for the price I paid, I definitely would recommend this dash cam to anyone who drives on our roads where scammers try to defraud the insurance companies... BEWARE OF INCENTIVISED REVIEWS
First of all, this is a decent product, but, not worthy of all the 5* reviews. I could not understand why so many reviews were along the lines of "seems good, not actually used it...", it's because you need a memory card to use he dash cam & a review gets you free one at the discretion of the seller (effectively encouraging positive reviews, or at least a review before the product has been tried & potential issues spotted). For the money, this is decent, the picture is clear & it will do what I want it to do. It will protect me in the situation where I am involved in an accident & there is disagreement about the cause. The issues that are not highlighted because the majority of the reviews are being made without having used the product are: 1) the camera is on the left side of the mirror, it is on a ball that pivots. Depending where the mirror is positioned the camera will need to be adjusted to maintain an image of both sides of the road. I need to push the camera as far right as possible to get more of the drivers side but it doesn't want to stay in this position, it seems to slowly move back to the centre each time (not a huge problem but it means that the image has far more of the passenger side rather than covering both). 2) the power adapter & rear view camera connection both protrude from the top, meaning the mirror is angled slightly downwards. Again this isn't terrible but I naturally assumed that the unit would be designed in such a way that the driver could position the mirror to wherever it needs to be (within reason) without affecting the image. 3) the mirror is really wide at the side where the camera is, therefore the passenger's sun visor is obstructed. You can't put it up or down without taking off the camera. 4) the reverse camera is pretty poor. It works & I can use it but it isn't anywhere near as good as the dash cam. Summary: It does what it is supposed to. The picture is good. It is fine for what was paid. Would I buy it again? Probably not. Dash cam 4****, reverse cam 2** so overall 3***

Really awful, not fit for purpose
UPDATE: Latest problem with this awful camera is there is no way of transferring videos to PC!!! I have tried connecting the dashcam to multiple PCs and get an error message (see image). I have also been sent a replacement dashcam and this has the exact same problem. This really is an awful item not fit for purpose. This camera is intended for left hand drive cars, not right hand drive cars in UK. The camera can be angled, but it only covers the left half of the windscreen glass. This is very disappointing, collisions are likely to come from the right hand side in UK, but this camera cannot see the right hand side half of the car windscreen. It's pathetic. The mirror glass has a horrible blue tint to it and visibility isn't great. The mirror shakes all over the place too, when the car is idle and when driving. I compared it to my original rear view mirror and the original doesn't shake at all. It is really bad having a constantly shaking rat view mirror with this item. The lead that connects to the power socket was just long enough to get to the cigarette liter after tucking it into the trims. I had to take the shortest route. For some reason, the camera seems to record 1 minute clips at a time. I will have to look into the recording functions in more depth to see what this is about. Overall, I'm very disappointed. This item isn't fit for purpose.

Handy cam
Got a good 2 years out of this. Great quality cameras and screen. Plenty of cable to stretch the length of a vw polo and comes with a handy sticky pad to secure the rear camera

Easy installation Dashcam plus reverse camera. Happy camper
I bought this as a replacement when a previous dashcam/reversecam made by a different company, but essentially the same product, stopped working in the reverse cam part. I suspect this was due to water getting into the outside camera part on the rear number plate. The new unit was so cheap that rather than just replace the reverse camera I purchased the whole lot again. It was a breeze to fit the inside part over the mirror. This part contains the screen for playback etc and also the forward looking camera. For UK users this camera, which is on the left side and has adjustable angle, does not adjust as far as would be optimal as the unit is primarily designed for use by drivers who drive on the right hand side of the road. I tried the unit upside down to see if it would work the other way but it would not auto-rotate as a modern phone would. Anyway, as I find myself driving in Europe right now, all is fine. The reverse camera was a little more difficult to fit as it goes outside the vehicle and must be wired into the reverse lamp. This was easier for me as I had already done it once. You need to remove one of the number plate lights and feed the wire from the reverse camera through that hole rather than drilling a new hole. Then when you replace the number plate light, put one of the screws for the light fixture through the hole in the bracket attached to the reverse camera. So now the screw goes through the number plate light, then through the bracket of the camera and into its original hole in the car, thus trapping the camera bracket in place without extra screws or drilling. Now, all the six meters of wire for the camera have been pulled through the number plate light hole and is hanging down. You need to attach the red wire to the contact on the back of the reverse light so that when you put the vehicle into reverse gear and the light comes on, the picture you see on the screen changes from the forward view to the reverse view. The rest of the wire you need to somehow get it to enter the car and get to the front where you can connect it into the mirror/screen unit. you can do this by finding and existing hole somewhere convenient or drilling another hole. In my case I was fitting it into a motorhome and I needed to connect an extension cable for the reverse video to get to the screen unit. Then you try to hide the cables so they don't appear unsightly. The screen unit has various menus where you can select different menu languages, video qualities and things like motion detection. If the unit detects a bump, such as a collision, then the video for that two or five minute segment will be locked so that it won't be recorded over. The unit does not include the digital memory card so this needs to be bought separately.
