Can you imagine a printer so small and so light weight that you can toss it in your brief case or bag and print up to 100 pages wirelessly on the go? I couldn’t imagine that until I purchased my Polono Portable Thermal Wireless Printer D810. Its dimensions are approximately 3.35" (H) x 3.15" (W) x 12.99" (D), weighs 1.87 lbs. The printer supports Bluetooth and can print photos, PDFs, documents, and more in up to 8.5 x 11-inch borderless print format. Additionally, the D810 is energy efficient, quiet, fast and easy to maintain. You simply download the Labelnize application, connect it to printer through Bluetooth, select the document you want to print and after approximately one hour of USB charging, press power button on, feed it paper and it prints. The D810 printer uses thermal printing technology and does not require replacement ink cartridges. For business people who need to print on the go, the light-weight Polono Portable Thermal Wireless Printer is your ideal accessory.

This little jewel is great for the traveling professional when a printout is needed. It is a thermal printer, so the advantages are no ink or cartridges to buy, the flipside is you must have thermal paper. I connected it to my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and printed the two pages seen in the photo I provided. It has the resolution of a high grade fax machine but is quite adequate for printing invoices on the go, a black and white photo for a file folder, and many other uses. It comes with a USB thumb drive that has the drivers loaded on it for Mac and Windows machines. I connected it to my Windows 11 laptop and loaded the drivers, following the instructions provided. Note: You must connect the printer to the computer and power it on before installing the drivers. Installed without a hitch following those instructions. Overall I'm very pleased with the device for its intended purposes. This is not a production printer. It is for quick prints on the go. All the items in the picture comes in the box. There is no power supply, so you'll need a USB charger for it. I placed it on an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper so you can get an idea of the compactness of this little printer.

Bluetooth Thermal Printer may seem like a convenient travel-friendly device, but the overall experience falls short of expectations. While the idea of a compact, wireless printer is appealing, the execution leaves much to be desired. The Bluetooth connectivity is inconsistent and can be frustrating to set up, often requiring multiple attempts to connect properly. Print quality is another major drawback—text can appear faded or unclear, and it struggles with anything beyond very basic documents. Additionally, the thermal printing limitations mean you’re restricted in what you can print, and the paper compatibility can be inconvenient. The build quality also doesn’t feel as durable as expected, raising concerns about long-term use. Overall, despite its portability, the performance and reliability issues make it hard to recommend.

This is really a great-quality black-and-white printer, especially good for text, but also surprisingly good image quality as well. It's heavy for its size, which indicates durability. That said, it's tiny (for a printer), and easily fits into my backpack with my laptop. I thought it would hold a roll of paper inside it, but it does not. It does, however, come with its own z-fold paper (like a sample quantity). For Android use, it does require that printing be done through the free Labelnize app, and not through the system print function. That would have been a nice feature. The Labelnize app itself is easy enough to navigate, and comes with a great archive of fonts, templates, tattoos, and a lot of other content. Plus there's even an AI image generator you can play with. I can hear it when it's printing on a page, but it's not loud. It is fast, and operates just fine for a long while on its own built-in battery.

I travel to Sweden a couple of times a year. I take classes in the summer and a printer is useful, but it must meet some criteria. This is the best thermal printer I tested. 2025-01-24 update The paper is a little challenging to load straight (requiring me to unlatch the roller which is a pain). Single sheet handling is adequate but you must load each sheet on a multi page document which leads to misaligned output. Continuous fanfold will register BUT there must be a black bar on the back of the paper at the bottom of each page for multi page documents. The first page is registered by detection of the leading edge of the paper. All subsequent pages rely on the black bar. The fanfold paper I have has a gray bar, not good enough. I used a black Sharpie to darken it and that works. The offset from the bottom determines the margin of the next page. Based on the paper that came with the printer, the bar should be placed about 10 mm above the perf. on the non-print side at the bottom. You only need one bar on left. Mutli-page end of document handling is sloppy, no attempt to detect the registration mark. Overall, it will do the job. 2025-01-22 Good stuff- The print quality is good. It handles fanfold paper (the paper must have black sync bars) The print app is pretty good. It handles A4 paper Compact and lightweight (550g) Not so good stuff- The latching mechanism is klunky The app loses sync with the printer sometimes The A4/US Letter selector is klunky Difficult to load paper straight the ummm stuff- Limited to 10 mb documents (not a problem for my needs)

I have always been curious about this type of portable printer and was eager to try it. It is very easy to use and super lightweight. Just download the app and it works wirelessly from my Mac and iPhone. It was a little more complicated downloading with our PC, which in our case required that the cord was connected to send the data, but that was not a huge deal for us. The quality of the print is excellent, and I love that it does its job simply and quickly. I was somewhat worried about dealing with the special paper that came with it, and how that would go but no problem. It prints multiple pages continuously and it is just a matter of separating when my document is done. I am an online seller and was delighted to learn I can order thermal shipping labels which is what I really need! The paper may seem expensive, but come on! Twenty bucks versus the fifty-plus I've been paying for ink cartridges. Does anyone need to print anything else in the house? I intend to feel like a superhero every time I print. I am very happy.

The printer is great, the downside is that you have to order special paper for it. Also it's hard to get the paper to feed through the printer exactly straight If you are only very occasionally printing it's perfect but it's not meant for heavy regular use

Polono portable printer: Works as should , easy setup but I did have an issue when trying to connect through bluetooth to my iMac . For the comfort of printing your own paper work when on the go this printer will be the one for me>. I printed things from my phone through the app and all was flawless. I connected the iMac that didn’t want to work through bluetooth and all worked out well! Here’s where I got excited IT HAS A BUILT IN 2000mAh battery for on the go printing. Been using it for three days now and I am satisfied that this will be my go to printer when on the road. Would love it to print in color but I guess that’s in the future. Prints faster than my hp4654. Best thing about this printer is how light it is and you can carry it anywhere once charged. Clever printer if I say so my self. Would love if it came with a carry case that would be wonderful. Great little thermal printer, printing black and white only on thermal paper. You must understand The Polono D810 does not support Bluetooth connections on a PC. However you just need to plug the printer into the PC via the USB-C cable included. Bluetooth functionality is designed exclusively for iOS and Android mobile devices via the "Labelnize" app which is easy to use. This is great if you travel a lot as it will fit into a backpack and print information etc. using your phone via bluetooth. USB-C and rechargable

This portable printer offers excellent convenience and ease to use. It designs which makes it incredibly easy to carry, rendering it ideal for travel or remote work situations.

I bought this because I’m fed up buying printers that require expensive ink which then die on me or stop sensing the ink cartridge. This is a lovely wee compact printer that takes up little space. It took me a moment to figure a few things out. Red light is due to lack of paper or charge It is important to line up the paper straight or it will print at an angle or jam. The paper is thinner than normal printer paper and you can only print on one side. It comes with a small amount of thermal paper. I bought double dragon paper as previous reviews recommended this. I’m finding it easy to set up now I understand the system. It connects through the app as long as you have Bluetooth on. The printing is clear and you can choose how dark you need the print. So far it seems good value for money. It doesn’t do colour printing but I figure if I need that on occasion I can pop down to the local library. It takes up little space.
