45 watts for an led? is that right?

Sorry for the late response - I forgot to check it. I just measured the RMS voltage and current as 235VAC and 139mA at full brightness. So that is 32.7VA. I don't have the right equipment to check the load factor so I can't tell you how many watts that is.

I just received this lamp and can’t get it to turn on. Is there a trick to it?

There's no "trick" -- just plug it in, and turn the black knob on the top in the clockwise direction for on -- the further you turn it, the brighter it gets. Turn it counter-clockwise for off.

What is the weight of the lamp? I don't like bulky arm and Lamp head.

The whole lamp does not exceed 1KG. it is Very portable, don't worry about the bulky arm.
