Looking forward testing this out!
edit 8/2026 - so my first dog has has hers for over a year with thankfully no emergencies to test it out. My most reacent rescue has has his for two months and I am seriously impressed by the health tracker! A couple weeks ago, out of the blue it sent me a notification that my dog's heart rate has increased by a significant amount over the last two days, I could see that his respiration rate had also spiked and when I took his temperature it was slightly elevated. I'm not exactly sure what was wrong, but I kept close monitoring of him that day and it didn't get any worse, two days later his stats were back to normal- could've been something that his immune system was fighting off successfully but would've been invaluable information to have should I had needed to take him to the vet. I did double check taking both respiratory and heart rates manually and it was pretty accurate to what the Embark tracker showed. I kept an eye on my other dog too and she was completely fine, nothing remarkable on her own tracker health records. Like a week after that, my new rescue started scratching (allergy flare up) and I caught enough of it during the day when it was most active, but if I had been working my normal long days that week I wouldn't have any idea he was uncomfortable if it hadn't been for the tracker showing an uptick on the amount of scratching. The barking tracker is also pretty accurate, both my dog are barky in general, but whenever they have a particularly loud day it shows true on the app. So yeah, pretty impressed with this and highly recommend it! This is the kind of information that an airtag could never give you. I just wish it gave more detailed information than just a daily average. --- First day but so far so good. Was incredibly easy to attach to the collar, I was a little hesitant to order because I thought the thing that goes around the collar would be too stretchy/easy for my dog to paw it off but it’s in the pretty solidly, doesn’t feel like it might accidentally fall off. It is not bulky or heavy, my 50lb dog hasn’t noticed it at all and I think it’s small and light enough that my 16lb dog wouldn’t mind it either. The app is easy to navigate and has nice features that I’m still learning about and experimenting with. There is a Facebook group for it with an employee as one of the admins so that could come in handy if you need quick help. My one complaint is that I bought the option for the 6 month trial too and when you get to that part the screen defaults to buying a new full year subscription, you actually have to swipe the screen to the right to see the option that activates the 6 month trial. I can see how that may confuse people into thinking they’re being forced to buy a whole new subscription. Additionally, it requires a form of payment to be added to their records that will automatically charge you when the trial is over, and they’ll do a small charge to make sure the card works (it says you get the charge refunded though, it was just a bit over a dollar for me).

I Am Impressed!
I desperately needed a tracker that worked in the Georgia woods. I fully expected to have to send this back but, after two days of testing, the performance has impressed me far better than I had expected. A month ago, my Husky broke her lead in the front yard and disappeared into the woods, trailing 30 feet of line. As expected, she got tied up trailing her line but, after three days of searching, I could not find her. This tracker would have taken me right to her. I have tested the tracker and it tracks us on the map really well in the trees with occasional peeks at the sky. No loss of GPS signal indicated thus far. We have pretty marginal cell coverage up here but I have never seen it lose cell lock. Another brilliant thing is, when you get to within 75 feet or so, you can turn on "Radar Mode" and it will use the bluetooth signal for range and bearing to the collar. The collar is very small and fits inside a loop on my Husky's collar. She wears a harness for walks. The subscription will be well worth it next time she makes a getaway. We can just let her run around our property and keep track of her via the phone app. Battery use has been very good thus far, going from 95% the first day to 87% the second day. I can see a need to charge this collar every ten days or so. Another great feature is, whenever the collar is in the Safe Zone (a radius around your house you determine) the collar goes into battery saving mode and shuts down all the cell and GPS tracking. One last feature is a Walk Map feature that shows your distance covered. I always wondered what our total walking distance has been and she is getting 2 miles next to my bike and another 2 miles walking trails each day on our property. I am getting that exercise too!

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! DO NOT BUY!!!
June 2026 Update: I wrote to the company to share my feedback and how they can do better. Their response was disappointing to say the least. There was no acknowledgement of the issue. No mention that they will try to incorporate my feedback or do better/different. No suggestion/advice how I can do different to make the best use of the device. They got my money. They are moving on to the next target. This is VERY BAD COMPANY! Do not listen to the celebrity endorsements or social influencers. This is a terrible and useless gadget. May 2026 Update: I cannot emphasize enough how much I hate this product. Half the time, it is telling me the device is not connected to the network. Update is only through Bluetooth, yet it is never in range. My dog is just across the street in the neighbor's yard. We are in an average size residential, open area, not obstructed by trees or buildings. Regardless if it's cloudy or sunny, day or night, the device always has a hard time connecting to the network. Terrible company with an even more terrible device. ----- This a terribly designed product. The device itself is bound to collar through elastics/rubber bands. I can imagine that will last a couple years. Not the worst part. It's fairly and low profile. Deceptively, you cannot use the device out of the box. You have to pay a minimum of 1 year subscription fee. The product images indicate $9 a month for a 1-year subscription but it's actually $10. After the cost of the device, subscription fee, and taxes, you are essentially paying a minimum of $200 just to use a device, where it advertised at $50. The software is frustrating. The entire focus of the app is to conserve battery. A batter saving zone can be created around your house. That zone is defined by how far your WIFI network. It doesn't actually connect to the network itself but as long as it sees it, it believes your dog is in the area, which could be inside your house or a few doors down, depending on the strength of your signal. My dog likes to roam around the neighborhood. There's a good and safe part, and another where I rather she doesn't explore. You can also define safe zone, which I have set as the area around my house, where I have line of sight. You can also set no-safe zones, which I set as the areas around the safe zone. Frustratingly, the device does not check for the network frequently. Often, I would let my dog out the house when I get home from work. Sometimes she plays around the house and sometimes she disappears to visit her favorite spot, the next block over. More than 15 minutes later, the app is still showing her as inside the safe zone, or inside my house. I'd click on the "Live" button to track her location, and the app would tell me it is unavailable because the dog is inside the safe zone and the feature will be available once she leaves the safe zone, even though she's many blocks away, beyond my WIFI network and the safe zone. Once you are able to start Live tracking, it is supposed to update every two seconds are so. Also, untrue. Closer to 10 seconds. This is extremely incompetent design. It should ping the network more frequently. It should allow me to access Live tracking, even if it drains the battery. Give me a warning but do not inhibit me. There's also a feature where it will "ring" the device when you are within Bluetooth range. The sound is quiet, like a fly buzzing. Unless you're few feet away or know what to listen for, you won't hear it. The range is also weak. I can walk 50 feet away from my phone and I can still take a call through my Bluetooth headset, but the app will tell me that the signal is too weak to turn on ring when the dog is 15 feet away, right in front of your, in your line of sight. Overall, I hate this device. The subscription requirement is deceptive and a scam. The app is horrible. The features are lacking and incompetently executed. For pet parents who want to know where your pet is, this device is not what you're looking for. It will anger you. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND this device.

Long battery life, accurate location, love it!!
This tracker is amazing! It has tracked exactly where our dog is at. Once he goes outside the safe zone, it alerts us and lets us know so we can go get him. He only takes off about once a week to explore, but we don't want him getting hurt or shot so we make sure he stays in that safe zone of about 5 acres. I like that it tracks his health too. Battery has lasted about 2 weeks or so. Love it... wish we would have bought this a long time ago!

Does what I need, though not what I expected.
I adopted a very independent and high energy 9 year old terrier mix last year. I tried a shock collar but A: it's cruel and B: she just ran through it when she smelled something worthwhile. After a few times shouting her name in the dark for more than 45 minutes from a lonely hillside, I knew I needed another plan. What I expected: that this would track my dog the way a running app tracks me. What I got: where my dog is every 5 minutes, and an app that tracks me. It turns out that an update 5 minutes is enough. It shows me that she hasn't run a mile or more back to the road, so that I can walk to her and call her without having a heart attack. I learned that in most situations I really can't trust her off-leash, but in those few times that I think I can and she runs off, this really brings down my anxiety. She's usually just over the hill where some *other* interesting smell distracted her from the deer. I never would have known that without this device, and it's pretty easy to track her down and get her back on leash with it. It's small and lightweight and I just leave it on her collar all the time and only turn it on for the rare times that we're far enough from civilization to let her off leash. It takes 5-10 minutes for the GPS to call home and register on the app on my phone when starting up, but I've learned to be patient. With it off, the battery lasts for a few months, and it only uses a couple percent of the battery per hour when on. It seems to be low-profile and waterproof/mud-proof and still works fine after her banging it around for a few months.

Great for pet parents!
We have 3 beagles, I’d be devastated if something happened to them that I could have helped avoid. Tractive helps give me some peace of mind. They are super easy to activate and use. The app is very easy to navigate. They are affordable. The location seems to be very accurate. I would definitely recommend these to everyone with pets.

Could be SO much better!
This Tractive device is a GREAT idea, and we're much less stressed about the whereabouts of our dog, for the most part. Here are the pros and cons: PROS: - Being able to trigger "Live" mode and track exactly where our dog is on our acreage is fantastic. - It recharges with USB-C connections, which makes it trivial to charge since we're all USB-C in our house. - The "Health" tracking is fun, including Leaderboards for groups like nearest 50 dogs with Tractives, ranking within breed, and ranking across all Tractive dogs for things like sleep and activity. CONS: - The Tractive offers a power-saving mode based on if it senses your home wifi signal. This is an interesting idea, however the issue is twofold for us: first, we went to great pains to ensure our wifi covers our entire property, and second, when the Tractive senses your home wifi and goes into power-saving mode you cannot enable live tracking unless you wait up to 20 minutes for it to do it's scheduled check-in. - If you don't use the low-power mode described in the above bullet (we don't) then battery life is not great. Ours consumes between 35%-45% every 24 hours, so we have added "charging the Tractive" to our daily device charging routine. - The stretchy strap that holds the Tractive to the collar tore within the first 3 months and we had to replace it with aftermarket straps. Note we have one dog and no kids so the Tractive wasn't being pulled/tugged by another creature, just our dog out running around by herself. - The Live Tracking fails to engage about 30%-40% of the time and we have to retry it. So far we haven't urgently needed tracking but if/when we do we're not confident in it kicking in quickly or reliably. Overall we'd rather have this device than not have it, but, man, it could be SO much better with just a few tweaks. For example, if they'd make the Live Tracking activation delay something shorter than 20 minutes when in power-saving mode that would be great - like, add middle option that extends battery life just not as much. That being said, for people with minimal wifi range the power-saving feature might work great, but for us with acreage and outdoor wifi access points it would mean that if we used power-saving mode and wanted to find our dog on our property we have to do it the old fashioned way, walking around and looking (she's deaf so we can't call her). The issues we have with the Tractive seem like things they could fix with future firmware updates, so we'll see. Bottom line is we're not sorry we bought it but we're frustrated with its limitations and cheap/shoddy straps.

Great device. No issues. Don't waste $ on a Halo!
This product is exactly what we needed at a very reasonable cost. We purchased the initial 6 months of service and when you setup the device, the app gives you the option to add another 6 months for just $9.99! We just adopted a shelter dog, so wanted to give Sully the opportunity to explore out property (70 acres) without a lease. When we wanted to see where he was, we hit the 'Live' button and it showed us (in a satellite view) exactly where he was. The only issue is that the device is not recognizing out wifi network to setup a battery saving feature. Luckily, wifi is not need for the device to work correctly. Very pleased!

Top produit
Meilleur achat, mon chien, bonne autonomie, permet de suivre les déplacements, et l’avantage, c’est le relevé des données de santé. Améliorer l’autonomie de la batterie serait un plus quand même.
