Most sanitary humidifier ever!
This model made improvements over 1.0 with a redesign of a few things namely the control panel at the top and bunch of other features that help make it more sanitary and useful. These are outlined on their website, but I don't think they sell the previous model any ways. Pros: Really clean. This was my #1 reason for getting an evaporative humidifier. And after having it for several weeks, I can tell it works. On top of using antimicrobial materials, it also includes a UV light and a redesigned filter that also filters the air. All of the non-electrical parts are dishwasher safe, but I would never wash them with my dishes at the same time. Even the top fan grill can be removed to make cleaning the fan super easy. Anyone who's had a computer with fans knows they can and will get dusty. Can use tap water, which is super easy to fill up and much cheaper than distilled water. Uses USB-C cable for power, which can detach from the device itself instead of having to unplug it from the wall. Built-in night light (red and white). I personally have a red night light already in my room but I found this light comparable and you can adjust the brightness to suite your needs. Built-in white noise. I personally have a white noise machine but I found this noise comparable to that, but I will point out that the sound of the fan on the humidifier to be a pretty good white noise itself. This is personal preference but if you're used to sleeping in silence, you might actually be put off by the loudness of this fan. Neutral: Standing water for humidifiers is a no-no if you want to keep things sanitary, so the device will continue running until everything is dry, including the filter. Every morning I empty what remains in the container and leave it out and open and let the humidifier run like it's supposed to and turn off automatically. This can take several hours as it dries out the filter too. Need to replace filters every 45 days. Given the cost of using distilled water for an ultrasonic humidifier (1 gallon every 2 days), this cost is about the same since you don't need to use distilled water with the Canopy. It has 4 fan settings: Auto, Low, Medium, High, but the auto setting is really just a light sensor setting: if it's bright in the room, it'll use Low, if it's dark in the room, it'll use Medium. You have to manually select High if that's what you want, but the fan is much louder on High. It has auroma capabilities. I only have this as neutral bc I haven't used it and I think you need stones to use it? It has 2 options: on top or in the aroma well inside the filter (but not IN the water). The cost for oil and stones seems expensive though. Container last about 12H on Medium setting. This is the only way I know water is entering the air. Cons: No humidistat. Cannot tell what the humidity level is in the room. You cannot turn off when it reaches 60%. I use a separate humidistat in the room to gauge things. No smart features. No schedule or WiFi connection to turn it on or control it. Cannot tell it to turn off when it gets to a preferred humidity level. Coverage is dubious. This is clearly designed to be on the bedside table. I wouldn't expect this to actually cover 500 sqft. This means I probably need to purchase the Large version to cover my entire bedroom (which is not even 500 sqft) but it's even more expensive than the Bedside 2.0 which was already pretty pricey. Glug glug. The water container glugs as it refills to humidifier, which can audibly be heard even with the white noise. Happens throughout the night. It doesn't wake me up but it's something I didn't see other reviews mention.

I was misled with the description they met 2.0 was the motor and it was a very small tank and I was looking for a larger 1 gallon tank other than that it’s a very good humidifier!

Unclear
Disappointed with the product, unclear instructions, and customer service response I purchased the Canopy Bedside Humidifier because I wanted a product I could feel confident using for my baby. I am about to become a first-time mom, with my baby girl due in just a few weeks, and I’m learning something new every day as I prepare for her arrival. Because of that, I need baby products to have clear instructions and give me confidence that they are safe to use. Unfortunately, my experience with this humidifier has been the opposite. There is no maximum fill line on the humidifier, and the instructions do not clearly explain how much water should be added. The company also instructs customers to use tap water. I followed the instructions provided, yet my filter became extremely wet and developed significant discoloration that appeared burnt/damaged. I contacted Canopy Customer Experience because I was genuinely concerned. Initially, I was told that filling the tank to approximately 70% could help prevent overfilling. However, their most recent response now clarifies that there is actually no maximum fill line and customers can add as much water as they would like, and that the 70% level was merely a suggestion. I appreciate the clarification, but this actually makes the lack of clear instructions even more concerning. Customers should not have to guess how much water to put into a humidifier, especially when the product is marketed for use around babies and children. I also want to be clear that my concern was never simply that the filter was wet. I understand that the filter sits in the water tray and is expected to become wet during use. My concern was the burnt-looking discoloration/damage to the filter after following the company’s instructions. That concern was not adequately addressed, nor was I offered replacement filters or a satisfactory resolution. As a first-time mom preparing for my baby’s arrival, I simply do not feel comfortable using this product anymore. When it comes to something I intend to use around my newborn, I need clear instructions, transparency, and confidence in the product. Unfortunately, Canopy has not given me that confidence. I hope the company takes this feedback seriously and improves its instructions and customer support. A customer should not be left questioning whether a product is safe to use after following the instructions provided by the manufacturer. At this point, I cannot recommend this humidifier, particularly to other parents preparing for a newborn, until these concerns are properly addressed.

Works great, isn't too loud, and doesn't leave residue.
It works surprisingly well! I was a little skeptical at first, but I measured the humidity in my room on some frigid (~0°F) nights and the difference was clear. On the first night, I left the humidifier off, and the humidity dropped to 26%. On the second night, I turned it on, and it went over 40% on the highest setting! I don't even keep it next to me on my bed, but about 8ft away on my desk due to space limitations. You'll have to refill it daily, but it's very easy to do. As long as I keep the tank sealed properly, it has no issues with leakage. Also, don't expect instantaneous results. It will take some time for the evaporated water to humidify your room. Since this is an evaporative humidifier, you won't see a physical plume of water like some of the other types, but that's actually a good thing for me. It means that there's no residue, and I don't have to be paranoid about microbes being launched into the air in case the tank develops mold or other issues. Also, I saw a some comments complaining that this runs until the filter or the wick is completely dry. You WANT that to happen. A constantly damp wick/filter is breeding ground for all kinds of nasty stuff. It shuts off once everything is nice and dry so you don't get mold in your humidifier.
