Awesome for grown-ups, too!
I bought this as a real-world supplemental curriculum for middle school homeschool science / language arts. My 12 year old found it a bit dry and over her head, but I, the adult parent, found it fascinating! Physics and chemistry and astronomy have never been interesting to me, but this book is definitely a good read!

I'm 22 and loved it!
This book does an excellent job of breaking down cool and fun aspects of astrophysics into simple enough terms that it feels fun and exciting to learn. From the basic building blocks of what our universe is made of to the technology and theories that make our understanding of the universe possible this book was a fun little 160 page adventure into the cosmos.

Great Book for Young Scientists
Bought this as a gift for my 10-yr old son and he absolutely loves it! He is a huge fan of NDT and was super excited when he opened it. He is an advanced reader for his age and I was very glad that it is not "too easy" for him. The information is presented in a very clear manner which is written for kids but not at all condescending or oversimplified. It's one of those books that you can keep coming back to and re-reading. I found myself hooked after a few pages and read it cover to cover. I love that this book encourages kids to be curious, ask questions, and crave knowledge! I'd definitely recommend for any kids who are interested in the cosmos/science/physics.

excellent purchase
Purchased this for my 14 year old grandson but decided to read it first. I feel this book is geared for readers older than 14 as it contains a lot of data that takes time to absorb. It is not a quick read. I reread many parts of the book to clarify what was being discussed. Protons, electrons, pulsars, neutrons, photons, atoms, molecules are all words I knew but needed a context for each. This book is an excellent tool for science in highschool and is written with many examples and much humour. I will be purchasing a few more copies for all my grandchildren and their parents.

Good book, easy language. Could use some more pictures, but it already has a 9 year old excited to learn more.

Indispensable complément.
Indispensable complément à ce qui est enseigné classiquement dans nos écoles. Acheté pour ma nièce adolescente et curieuse pour lui permettre de se situer dans ce merveilleux cosmos .
