Set in the50s it sums up a good old fashioned Christmas with loads of laughs. First watched this film with my mum on Christmas Day having dinner in front of the tv when I was little, we had never laughed so much, always remembered this film than found it on vhs than dvd. Don’t make films like this any more absolutely brilliant great for all the family at Christmas 🎄👍

110% GOOD FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT
EXCELLENT! 5 stars not enough, I fail to see whay this is not better known in the UK ITV / BBC WHY are you ignoring this fantastic film ? It maybe frm from 1983, but it's seems a fresh story everytime we watch it, now our Grandkids are starting to love this film, and ask for it to be shown, I have the disc Region 1 version, which won't play on my new DVD player :-( must work around this soon. BUY IT!

Good movie. Reminds me a lot of the Wonder Years, but is suppose that must have been inspired by this first. Often funny, not schmaltzy and genuinely heart warming and brings you back to childhood. Recommended Xmas viewing for all the family and especially adults!

Let me first say this is an outstanding Christmas time film! Saw this movie when it came out 1983-84 , and is one of the best " yesteryear " Christmas movies. Writer impressed by quality of resolution, people must remember that this film was made long before High Definition Technology. The movie that arrived was NOT a cheap copy lifted from someones basement home computer, writer very happy with quality. High quality DVD packaging, quick delivery to Canada during the Christmas rush of 2021 .This is a classic tale of day to day Christmas season Life back in the late 1940's, early 1950's. Although writer is too young to remember those days, I recall the stories from grandparents and parents. This is a classic movie for your Christmas collection !! Writer not paid or reimbursed for favorable review.

We all love this movie, but we couldn't use it in Japan. The Japanese DVD system is different from that used in the USA. We will take it back to the US the next time we visit.

impossible de visionner le DVD en Belgique et sûrement en Europe car ne fonctionne que en Amérique, Canada ,ce qui n'est pas précisé sur Amazon, résultats de l'argent gaspiller, heureusement que je l'ai acheté d'occasion,je suis très déçue

Al igual que otros títulos navideños, este es otro gran ejemplo de películas familiares que valen la pena. La conversión a 4K es muy bien lograda, respetando el hecho de que se trata de una película ochentena; misma situación ocurre con su apartado sonoro.
