Loving it so far
I'm a casual runner (<5 miles, 3x week, 12 min mile) and use it for running and as a walking desk and my kids use it to walk. It works great, but it's only a few weeks old. Assembly was time consuming, but no problems putting it together. My last treadmill was an old Landice that just died. I was considering this treadmill and the Lifespan TR1200i. When this came up as a gold deal, I placed the order. I did not sign up for the iFit, but the standard programs work fine for me. Will update my review in a few months if anything changes.Pros:- Nice solid running surface (seems as good as the gym treadmills)- Highly rated by Consumer Reports- Great delivery experience with Amazon Prime.- Nice extras: fan, speakers, polar HRM- With daily deal+amazon prime, this was a great value.Cons:- not really a con, but it is very heavy and tough to move downstairsI think other reviews cover the running experience, so i'll give more insight on other aspects.DELIVERYThe treadmill arrived quickly (thanks to Amazon Prime) and this thing was huge. The delivery service arrived with a single person and a mechanical hand truck. The delivery guy offered to put the treadmill in my garage, or if I was willing to help, he would help move it into the house. I chose the house and we lifted it up a set of stairs (after unboxing) and put it into my dining room. He carried the heavy end (motor), but it was still a bit tough to lift (I weigh 150 lbs). Afterwards, he even took away the large crate that the treadmill sat on. The overall delivery experience was great.Later three buddies helped me move the treadmill downstairs to the basement. I looked at doing this myself with a hand truck, but the treadmill is too large for a hand truck and would never have made the 90 degree turn in my stairwell. Make sure you plan for this. I believe both Proform and Amazon may offer services to deliver to your final destination in the house. Also, check local delivery services who may be able to help.INSTALLATIONTook me about 3.5 hours to install it. Luckily there were no missing parts and no major problems. Minor issue is that the ground screw was too large, so i grabbed a smaller one from my toolbox. Most of the assembly could be done with a single person, but putting on the console was definitely easier with two. And installing the bar that holds the treadmill closed required a second pair of hands. Go slow and assembly will be fine. The trickiest part was putting the console on and ensuring that the fit was flush with the frame. I also installed the tray under the console the wrong direction and the screws were a bit hard to tighten.ELECTRONICSPrograms: There are a few programs included in the treadmill, but frankly I mostly use the manual mode. Seemed like there were an acceptable set of programs, but i believe the optional iFit is needed to fully take advantage of the treadmill. For me, the iFit is not needed.Navigating through the different options took a little playing with, but it's not not overly complicated. The numbers on the left and right side of the console allow you to quickly set incline and speed. At first, i thought it was goofy, but now I find it quite handy.Incline: the incline worked without problems.Fan: The fan was a nice touch. It seems a little less powerful than the ones I've used at the gym, but it is still useful.Heart rate monitor: i have used both the hrm on the handrail and the polar chest straps. Both work fine, the Polar chest HRM does seem to take a few minutes before it starts to register - but this is typical for hrm straps.Speakers: i connected my iPhone to the speakers (cables not included, so had to use ones i already had). Sound was loud enough to hear over treadmill sounds. Decent.OTHER POINTS- Console is huge. I was surprised as how large it is. I had to place my tv on a higher shelf so i could see it.- painters tape will damage the finish of the treadmill. When moving the treadmill to the basement, I taped some loose wires to the black cover. After removing, left some marks. I didn't see this as a Proform issue - painters tape has burned me before :)- cupholders work well (2). I could easily place the iPad on the console for viewing movies.- Don't forget to buy a surge protector

I hate running on treadmills
I am a serious marathon runner that mostly runs outside, but wanted something to help me through the winter months. I've had the treadmill for about a month now. I hate running on treadmills, but I've put it in my cool garage and can blast music, so it's manageable. The positives:1. Haven't had any problems with the motor, or the machine shutting off. Max I've done is 8 miles in about an hour.2. Fans are pretty good for a treadmill. I've certainly seen less effective fans in gym treadmills.3. Machine seems pretty stable. Plenty wide and long for me.4. Not super loud. Not super quiet of course either.5. Pretty good cup holder, towel system. Not ideal, but plenty of storage and manageable.6. Climbs up to full speed very quickly, and you can punch in your ideal speed quickly too (don't have to hit the button 80 times to get to 8.0mph). Same thing for incline. This is really convenient for starting and stopping. The negatives (I haven't checked the manual yet to see if some of these issues can be adjusted):1. Chose Saturday delivery window of 3-6. One guy showed up without any phone call at 10:30. This happened on another amazon delivery too.2. I did not consider setup to be easy. Some parts really had to be jammed in. The directions weren't 100% clear...about ikea level. Most of the setup was a 1 person job, but for a few steps a second person was helpful. It just didn't seem like the parts fit together well, but it does appear stable now. I'm average as far as mechanical abilities, and it took me 5 hours?3. As others mentioned, it provides mph (i.e. 7.1) but doesn't tell you what pace you are going at (i.e. 8:13).4. After 1hr, it stops showing seconds. This adds another difficulty in trying to find out just exactly what pace you are going.5. The pulse bar was too erratic for me to be effective. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.6. There is an ugly track that I guess is supposed to show your progress. Looks like something from the creators of Pong.In general everything I've seen so far suggests that the machine is solid, and it has some important basics (good motor, stable, good fan, exact mileage, ability to changes incline/decline/speed quickly). But the display is a bit junky, the machine is heavy, and setup is cumbersome
