Q: What is the thread count

The protector is knitted so there is no thread count. Thread counts are normally for woven fabrics such as sheets. But the weight is 200 g per square meter.Hope this helps.

Q: Does this mattress protector work for my 15 inch deep memory foam mattress?

I didn't measure my old mattress but my new Topper is 4". I managed to stretch the protector enough to tuck under both; however, it was an effort and the top edges of the "tucking in" portion are visible on the top of my topper. I doubt you can use on 15" mattress

Q: Which side goes up? Does it matter?

On mine it’s the center of the bed. It’s just an air bubble whenever you sit on the bed. But after a few minutes it goes down. It personally doesn’t bug me at all.

Q: Would this be appropriate for an adult with incontinence?

I would say it is. I bought one for my daughters bed & our bed because we were potty training her & sometimes she would sneak to our room to sleep. These were a huge help because nothing would speak through to the mattress.
