Binchotan Facial Puff

Noticeable difference between the Morihata Binchotan Bamboo Charcoal Facial Puff compared to the other bamboo/charcoal puffs out on the market. Supplementing my cleansing routine w/this facial puff my face post-cleanse feels softer, smoother, more importantly, more thoroughly cleansed.Initial thoughts, loved the product but the $15/puff price tag was a deterrent so I searched for lower-priced alternatives/ making several purchases of low to mid-range priced facial puffs (some from notable brands), disappointed from the quality of those purchases kept me coming back to the Morihata Binchotan. It really comes down to the quality of the fibers used, the MB has a slightly more firm/sturdier? feel that doesn't feel at all abrasive against the skin, compared to the other facial puffs that just feels "weak" (the fibers are too soft, almost like a super soft bath sponge)- defeating the whole purpose of buying the facial puff if it doesn't aid in exfoliating. So for me the price tag is worth it. The MB Facial Puff is a gentle manual exfoliator for my sensitive skin that gets the job done, great alternative to a clarisonic. I ended up repurchasing this product and will continue to do so, until I am able to find a product that is comparable in quality that can offer a better price alternative.To explain the "disintegrating" complaints, like other sponges over time, it will fall apart (small piece by small piece). Mine lasted for 1-2 mos? (use is alt. days, prob skipped 2, mostly evenings). But if you plan on using this every day 2xs/day probably expect this to last for 1 month, also see directions on proper care to get the most out of your facial puff.

I hear complaints about it falling apart, but to me it seems perfectly understandable. It isn't plastic. It will breakdown in time. Depending how and why and when you use it... Perhaps you will get more wear out of it. I keep mine air drying it has a little handy string to hang it. The instructions are clear. Hang dry or refrigerate. I use mine everyday once a day and squeeze the water out. (It feels like a stress ball haha) hang and next morning it is solid again. This last week it has a few bits coming undone... Today is day 20. I have used it with face products... Even light scrubs. So I may be wearing it out by just how I'm using it! I find it worth it. I will reorder.

Think it's a great product, however it does take a long time to dry, and please heed all the other reviews: it disintegrates after about a month--not two as the recommended usages suggests. I wish it was a better value.

Works really well, but falls apart quickly. If it lasted three months, that would be fine. But I think it's only been a month, if that...

This puff us great for everyday exfoliation. Not too harsh. I use it every night with the bichotan carbon facial soap.

Seemed to "burst" after just a few uses and is now disintegrating. Worked quite well until then

If I could, I'd give it 2.5 stars. It disintegrated really fast, even though stored on a dry ledge. Liked the idea of it and what it could do though, I had high hopes I guess.
