Lego Soccer #3420

Really cool!

A while back when championship challenge I (3409) came out I was mildly interested. I didn't really plan on buying it, especially when I read reviews saying it had durability issues. Then when Challenge II (3420) came out, I was certain they had to have fixed whatever problems there were. . .I was right! It was fun to build and pretty sturdy. Of course, you can't really build it on a carpeted floor but you can build it on a coffee table and that is also a great place to play with it. There are 6 players for each team, red vs. blue. I had thought that the gameplay would be slow but I was wrong: my sister and I played game after game. Then we decided to change the player minifigs with ones we had from other sets. We created a Harry Potter vs. Star Wars game and that was fun as well. That has to be one of my favourite things about this set and all legos: its so easy to modify and add and change. The only downside is that the goalie is a little hard to control but that is an equal handicap for both "teams." One thing I would recommend is to pick up the Women's team set for a fun Boys vs. Girls game and also the Fan's Grandstand. The price is a little high for those people who have already purchased 3409 but I still recommend it. My favourite feature is the sliding players (something not present in the first version of this set). I have always wanted a foosball table and as I do not have the space (or the capital) this is a great substitution. Buy it, Build it, and find yourself shouting, "GOOOAAAAAALLLL!" Highly recommended. :)

Das gebrauchte Spiel war zwar nicht im Lego-Karton, sondern ziemlich durcheinander in einem Plastikbeutel, aber es fehlte nur ein Teilchen und alles war heil (wider Erwarten). Die Lieferung kam zügig und der Preis für das rar gewordene beliebte Spiel war ok. Meine Enkel waren begeistert.
