Insanely Bright!!!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I have had a SureFire LX2 Lumamax for a long time - at least five years, anyway. The LX2 is a dual output at 20 and 200 lumen. I tossed a wide array of Mag Lights when I bought the LX2. SureFire flashlights are built as tough as they could possibly be and have a lifetime guarantee, even the bulb. Batteries are the only thing you have to buy, and for my regular use, a set of batteries lasts one year in the LX2. 200 lumen is about as bright a light as I would ever need. Then came the P3XC-A Fury. Only one word to describe it - INSANE! Hahaha! 1,000 lumen is INSANE! It truly is a pocket-sized searchlight. Every time I turn it on outside, I laugh. I just laugh! It's carzy! 1,000 lumen flashlights are for use where an extremely bright light is needed to flood a large area with intense light. That, and it would totally blind an attacker, even in broad daylight, no doubt. In fact, if you were to shine this light into an attacker's eyes at night, I'm not so sure he/she would ever see again. But don't try to use one to look at anything up close, like an arms length away. You won't be able to see anything for a while. It's painful, actually. I tried to see the markings on one of my tires on my FJ in my garage in the daylight - shining it on black rubber, and it hurt. Couldn't do it. Had to go get the LX2.A 600 lumen light like the P2X Fury might be called radical. The P3X is insane. If you want the most unbelievably brightest flashlight in a pocket-sized package, and one that is the toughest, most durable flashlight money can buy, the P3X is your flashlight.I will never buy another brand of flashlight but SureFire.

Not worth the price
This is my experience with the P2X Fury. This is the second one I've owned, the first one I sent back to surefire for a replacement. These lights use a Cree XM-L2 l.e.d. & claim to be a neutral tint that's easier on the eyes. My first light was not a neutral tint, but green. It was so green that I couldnt even use it in an outdoor environment around brush because everything was literally so green it all looked the same. These lights claim to be "weather proof", but offer no IP-X (water resistance) rating. Well, i used mine on duty during a hot, humid, raining night and the inside of the lens fogged up and had water build up inside. The light was nearly unusable because the beam was so obscured from the water.I thought maybe mine just had a flaw, so decided to try a second one. I received my second one and tried it out. The beam was slightly less green than the first, but still not the same "neutral" tint such as on the Surefire G2X Pro model (great light by the way, half the price but never an issue with it). I placed some Superlube silicone lubricant on the threads and o-rings hoping to alleviate the water ingress issue. Negative... I had a chance to use it in the same type of conditions as the first and had the same exact issue. The light was never submerged, just used in a moist environment and could not keep the weather out.Now on to the pros. I use this light with rechargeable 16650 batteries instead of the CR123s. I sacrifice about 100 lumens or so by doing that (lower voltage in the 16650 than the CRs) but to me the tradeoff is worth it because it is much cheaper to use this way. The light has a great fit and finish to it and feels like a quality light in the hand. The runtime is superb especially with the rechargeable batteries. I still use this light daily around the house for mundane tasks and love it for that. I use it on low almost excusively and rarely have to charge the battery. In conclusion, I feel this light is not worth the price. This is about a $30 light, not $120+. Thats my opinion. There are much "better" lights out there for half the price that wont fog up at the slightest hint of moisture, and may have more features that you're interested in. If I can reccomend an alternative, I would lean towards the Streamlight Protac HL-X, which is this lights direct competitor and also a light I see as superior to the P2X. I will do a review of the HL-X soon and perhaps a side by side comparison of the two.

Love this light!
Great light! Very rugged construction, super bright on high beam mode. Beam is very well focused with good spread. Tail cap switch is very solid and functions well. It may not have a lot of fancy modes like other lights out there but those are things I did not need. Just a great super rugged tactical light all around.

The standard by which all others are judged
Having become accustomed to the superior performance and construction of Surefire products over the years, it's all too easy just to take the latest for granted. But this P2X is really remarkable. We don't need a Lux meter to know that it has a central cone of illumination that is both brighter and wider than the previous Fury. For the wonks, it's color temperature is somewhat warmer, and my admittedly simplistic test (Colorchecker) suggests it's color rendering is much better. Given that, some believe that the cold blue-white light of the previous models is potentially better at intimidating aggressors in LE or self-defense situations. But I know of no objective experiments supporting this opinion. I have owned or used them all from the original 6P on, and I prefer this one.

Daylighter
I'm very pleased to report this flashlight delivers as described. Handling this flashlight is like having a fine tool in your hands. On high mode it really is a day lighter. I was not sure I was going to like the two modes, but I have really grown to admire the simple uncluttered selection. This is not a put down to others that offer up to 10. I was disappointed it did not have a holster with the unit. I knew this before I bought it. Going forward, I would like to see a holster or the option of one included. As most of you know the LED flashlight options/companies have exploded. This would include price and quality. I have to give Surefire and Streamlight credit; they have remained innovative and kept their quality very high. Concerning use, I remember my father always had one of the 3-D cell metal flashlights in his tow-truck. In the middle of the night, that was what he and his customers depended on. Those old lights took a beating. Although the cost of this light is off the charts, don't put it in a bag and forget about it. Use it, and then hand it down to your children.

Assolutamente consigliata
