Excellent gloves, great protection from a very hot stove . Well padded and limited feel of direct heat even in the centre of the stove when rearranging logs inside the stove. Definitely recommend these , great value for money.

i havent used these much yet and as with all the other gloves i have bought in the past only time will tell. Previously i bought cheaper gloves i tried your typical red ones you see everywhere they wouldnt last long a couple of projects and you would have holes in the fingers or thumbs. i also tried some of those grey tig welding gloves again very cheap those resisted the heat pretty good but eventually the thumb blew out and were rendered useless. I decided to buy these as i read a lot of good reviews they are not really expensive but the quality seems good and they seem more robust than anything ive had before but only time will tell. I bought these sept 2018 if your reading this in the future please ask the question will these last a long time and i can answer it. i do arc welding and have the gloves really close to the heat they resist the heat pretty well although after some time they start to get hot but that does take quite a lot of time and considering im really really close to the heat i think they do pretty well, definitely better than any of the others ive used.

These are good quality, well made gloves that I bought for bread baking - specifically to handle the very hot Dutch oven that I have to use. They are comfortable to wear and you can hold very hot (250°C) pans with them. You just can’t hold things for very long as the heat penetrates the gloves quickly. For the price these are great just don’t expect to hold extremely hot pans for more than 4 seconds.

Great pair of gloves, good for gardening to.

I used these to replace a generic set of oven gloves, I did think maybe this was overkill but reaching back to the oven sometimes meant I got a burn on my arm above where the oven gloves didn't not cover. These gloves completely remove that issue. They have a really thick protection and have retained full movement of all fingers, not restrictive at all. Having had these gloves for a while they have become even more supple and still retain their protective heat qualities. Really happy to recommend these gloves for kitchen use.

I recently purchased and had installed a Hunter Herald Avalon 4 Double sided wood burning stove. The Avalon branded gloves supplied with the stove were worse than useless and not fit for purpose. The stitching was plastic as opposed to Kevlar like these gloves When you opened the stove door it was almost impossible not to brush against the glass door and the plastic stitching melted on the glass. It was a nightmare task getting the hardened plastic off the glass which had smeared onto it. Hunter Herald were not interested so I looked online and purchased these gloves. The material is much better quality and comfier compared to the Hunter Herald Avalon originals supplied with the stove, and with the heat resistant Kevlar Stitching the glass door is safe and now clean. 100% recommend them.

These gloves had lots of good reviews, but with the odd negative comment saying they didn't provide sufficient heat protection for some people. I've been using them in my new wood-fired oven and they've been excellent, giving great protection from the heat, including right up to my elbows, when using the peel to put pizzas in. I've not tried picking up red hot embers, but why would you?? The quality and fit are good too, as is the price, so I really would recommend them for this application, or for use with open fires, or wood burners etc.
