Gorgeous Spice Jars!
These far exceeded my expectations! I bought a set of 6 in the 12 1/2 Ounce size as well as in the 27 Ounce size in order to store my cooking spices. I like to cook a lot of Indian and Korean so when I buy spices, I generally get a LOT and they come in non-resealable plastic bags. These are gorgeous looking spice jars with tight fitting lids - a really beautiful way to display some colorful spices! I use the smaller jars mostly for ground spices that I tend to buy in smaller quantities as well as some whole spices that I would never purchase an excess of 12 ounces of (like cloves or green cardamom) and the larger jars for whole spices that I do purchase in larger quantities because I go through them in excess (like cumin seeds and ground red chili pepper). For labels, I use japanese tissue tape (it's like scotch paper masking tape, but decorative) and write on it with pen. They stay on well and peel off easily if you ever want to change things up.

Perfect for keeping larger spices and tea leaves
I bought these to match the 4.5-oz versions which I'm using to store my spices. I like the Vibe line because of the simple and elegant design, and the fact that they're airtight---they'll keep my spices fresh as well as keep unwanted pests out! Most of my powdered spices fit in the 4.5-oz versions, but certain things like cinnamon sticks, bay leaves, and loose tea leaves wouldn't fit in those, so I got these larger ones which were perfect for the job. They have a very solid construction, and a clear glass top so you can easily see the contents from above. The only niggle I have with this product is that the jars come shipped with stickers on the bottom of each jar, and the stickers are the annoying kind that shred easily when you try to peel them off. To avoid the hassle, just soak the bottoms of the jars for a few minutes in water (you can use the kitchen sink), and they'll slide right off.All in all, highly recommended!

Glass is very thin!
I was going to buy more of my Anchor Hocking "Emma" jars that I have and like very much, when I saw these and liked the shape so I ordered these instead. When I received them I was very disappointed to see how thin the glass is. The lids are fine and fit well but the glass on the jar part is so thin! It's almost like a wine glass thin if you will. You couldn't really use them to store anything in that you are going to be taking in and out of the frig or used on a granite or hard surface counter without having to be really carful. I was going to return them but thought it would just cost me in shipping so I just went ahead and ordered my usual Anchor Hocking Emma jars which are thicker glass and work just fine.

Great for putting colorful items like hand scrubs
Love these little jars. I put salt or sugar body/hand scrubs in these jars and they work great so you can see the color through the glass. This is picky, but the only thing I didn't like about the jar is that the lid is really tight. This means you have to use two hands to open the jar. So, if your hands are dirty or if you want to use your scoop with one hand, you cant, becase the lid is so tight you have to use both hands just to open it. However, there is a fix. You can put the lid in boiling water for a few seconds. Then put it back on the jar and wiggle it in the opening to reshape the plastic a little. It still seals, but you don't have to pull as hard. This makes it easy to just use one hand to remove the lid, get a scoop of the scrub and put the lid back on.

made in the usa?, but....totally not what I expected.
I was quite disappointed with the jars when I received them. Why? In the product description, it states that the jars are made in the USA. Upon reading the jars, it did say that they were made in the USA, however, the lids are made in Mexico. I wasn't too happy to find out that information. It wouldn't be so bad, but there is a plastic piece on the underside of the lid that makes contact with the jar in order to seal the two together. Is that plastic part of the lid BPA free? WEll, I don't know and I'm quessing it isn't, if it doesn't have it on there or the box or under the description. So, if you think you are getting a product that is 100% made in the USA, you are not! I plan on returning the jars which is going to be a pain, because of the repacking, etc. Hope this review informs/forewarns someone who attempts to buy this product with expectations like mine.

Cheap, sent back
bought these over some other cheaper storage jars because they were 'Made in America', but they are cheap, flimsy glass, and the lids did not have a snug fit. ended up buying some much cheaper, better quality jars from Walmart.

Great Way to Present a Variety of Coffees
I recently bought a Keurig coffee-maker (from Amazon), along with reusable k-cups, and was looking for a way to present and store a variety of coffees -- especially when entertaining -- since part of the fun of k-cups is having a selection. These glass canisters are perfect for that. They are well-made and attractive, and they seal tightly. I put labels on the lids to distinguish that coffees they contain -- much as the foil lids do on the k-cups.I went the reusable k-cup route for two reasons. First (to be honest) is because I'm cost-conscious (cheap). The best price on the prepackaged k-cups works out to be around 60 cents. The unit cost for the reusable k-cups varies by the grade of coffee, but I can use premium coffees for about 20 cents per cup. The second reason is that I try to keep my trash to a minimum. While the disposable k-cups are small, they add up.
