I purchased this because I wanted something for my bedridden father to get a family members attention from another room, at nighttime, etc. It works wonderfully! The sound of the bells ring is perfect- not too loud & not too soft. It's well made and sturdy. Has a solid wooden handle, so it looks nice on the bedside table. It's a very nice size, easy to grab from an angle, and sits nicely on tabletop. Very happy with the price of this purchase.

Such a nice bell, it was a little bigger than I expected but that worked out better than a tiny one in your hand, and the sound is loud enough where if someone is in a different room, it can be heard and the gold design is beautiful, I am pleased with it.
