This alum Block works well. It can stop the bleeding from small cuts and has a pleasant smell. It lasts for a long time i still have it after 5 months. I find it better to pat it on after shaving than to rub it. If you have small cuts, I also find it better to leave the block on it for a few seconds and then remove it. Also, it dries fast. Make sure it wet it with cold water before applying it.

Amazing stuff. Just glide it on to any nicks or cuts, and they close right up. Mildly astringent - but that tells you that it's working. And it lasts FOREVER. I've had mine for nearly five years now, and it's not much smaller than it was, when new. Buy this thing.

I did not have any "stinging" after using this. It is also a straight up stone, you will only need one in your lifetime. Just used it and it felt good afterwards. Good stocking stuffer.

Very nice and soothing, although it will hurt a tiny bit initially. Smaller than expected but still gets the job done. I would recommend.

Sometimes I cut myself a bit by mistake while shaving. This block helps slow the bleeding. Seems like a better value then the little sticks I used before. I figure this thing will last years.

I love using this after shaving. Stings a bit but disinfects and closes up surface cuts almost immediately. I recommend rinsing it off and putting some moisturizer on after.

I use Proraso shaving cream and it is literally the best shaving cream I have ever used. Anyway I want to try the alum stone and its quality. It works as described. I feel little burn, and it was more refreshing than a stinging slash of after shave. I rise my face will cold water after I use the stone, followed by a soothing after shave balm.
