I’ve been using smart bulbs almost exclusively for several years now, and Govee has become the brand I trust the most. I recently got this 4-pack to replace a set of Sengled bulbs, and the quality is just so much better. The "Easy to Install" Factor - This is the best part. It was a total breeze to get these connected to my network and synced with Alexa. I’m a tech-friendly person, but even a low-tech person could install these bulbs without a headache. Unlike cheaper bulbs I’ve tried, the connectivity is flawless and they don't constantly drop off. The Matter Premium - I will say, I’ve noticed the prices on Govee products have crept up over the years (what hasn't, though?), and they’re now at the higher end as far as cost goes. These bulbs are Matter compatible, and it seems like you pay a premium for that aspect. However, for me, the tradeoff is completely worth it because the performance is so consistent. The Verdict - I’ve never actually had a Govee bulb go bad on me. It's still a great value for your money because you aren't constantly replacing them like the cheap brands. As an early adopter of Belkin Wemo plugs and light switches, I was hung out to dry when Belkin abandoned Wemo. I have an old home and in order to control the lights hooked up to my Wemo switches, I needed to find switches that didn't need the 3rd wire. Plus I didn't want to have to install a proprietary hub (I already have an Apple Homepod). While it appears there are some candidates for no-third-wire, no-hub-needed smart switches, I anticipated many wasted hours and dollars getting a solution. I figured, skip the switch and just get smart bulbs that work with Homekit via Matter compatibility. These Govee bulbs are perfect. I needed to start with the E12 (candelabra) bulbs as those were my immediate need, but Govee seems to have a lot of styles of smart bulbs (I didn't want a hundred-vendor solution). Anyway, about THIS product -- it just worked out of the box no sweat. AI inquiries told me I'd need the Govee Home app to generate the Matter ID but I didn't need it. Just plugged it in, turned it on, and added it to Homekit by hitting the "add device" button and scanning the Matter QR code on the product. Stupid simple, worked the first time, now totally integrated with my Homekit automations. Skip the switch, former Wemo users!

Beautiful bulbs I purchased for my ikea lamp, I’m yet to connect them to the app as I don’t have WiFi in my home yet but the default color they turn on to is a beautiful warm white, the exact color I was searching for. I’ll update when I connect to the app and fully set them up. Amazing quality and value for money!!

LOVE the app, so many features and customizability. The lights work as advertised but you may occasionally face connectivity issues where the lights don’t follow the given command.

I have smart lights I can control in most of the busiest rooms in my house...but my living room was always limited to the wall switch that controlled the ceiling fan/light combination. The bulbs were that "Christmas tree" bulb types and I figured I didn't have any other options. Then I stumbled across Govee on Amazon and found the exact bulbs! Now I have voice control of those lights through Alexa and I so appreciate the freedom it gives me to control them with my voice and program them for on and off routines. They provide the same brightness as the dumb lights I replaced so there is no noticeable difference. Everything was easy, adding them to Alexa, adding to a group (Living Room), setting up routines. The hardest part was climbing a ladder to swap out the bulbs and that was easy too! Can't recommend them enough, for your ceiling fan lights or wherever this style fits, you will be happy with them too I am sure!

I can’t recommend this brand enough! Soon my whole home will be Govee. I’m obsessed. The light is bright and I no longer suffer from a dark home. I love the app and all of the color options that come with. There are even preset modes for whatever your vibe is! They are durable and long lasting, and you can even control any and all bulbs in whatever grouping you want. They install like any other bulb and then they pretty much synch themselves with the app.

Maybe I got a bad batch but I’m frustrated with them enough that I’m not going to try any more. # of the 4 will not stay connected to my WiFi. The one that will takes 30-40 seconds to respond when I turn it off or on. I wanted one by my garbage cans that would turn on at night when I open the garage door. It’s so slow to respond that I can take the garbage out and be back in the garage before it turns back on. You might be think it’s my WiFi but here’s my setup. Deco mesh, 6 nodes, 4 of them Ethernet backhaul. I have less than 40 clients and it supports 500. I’m installing them in my dining room chandelier before putting them outside. The chandelier is about 10’ from one of the Ethernet nodes. Anywhere in the house my connection is maxed out on signal strength and I get 600 MBPs (my IP’s) max everywhere; in the front yard where the light would go I get in the 400s with the connection still strong. Like I said, maybe I got a bad batch but I also hate the app, I hate the setup process and they are a pain to add to HomeKit. It’s the worst smart home app I’ve used from a reputable smart home device company.

Love them. Vivid colours, variable brightness control, fully customizable. The app is kind of a nightmare but manageable with some patience.

Updating my Ikea lights and these fit the bill. The install was the easiest I've ever been experienced. I have no idea why people return these a lot. Maybe they don't know that it's an E12 but either way, I'm very happy. Might have to fully switch over to Govee.

They are really bright! Most of my light bulbs are Govee. I switched my bathroom light bulbs since most of the light bulbs that I put in always die less than a year. I hope this will last for a long time because it is on a steeper price.

Work great but took a few hours to figure out set-up. App is not easy to figure out. I had to go to u-tube video's to figure out how to connect to wi-fi and how to group the #4 lights together. I can see why a lot of people just give up and return them. Note: Amazon says this is a often returned item.
