Great for the bedroom. I like the features and the information it shows. Great for those mornings when I wake up and can't remember what day of the week it is!!

The only reason this is not 5 stars is because the remote is so tiny. The clock is to help the elderly and visually impaired and the remote to make it speak the time is unreadable for someone with vision problems. I bought this for my 80 year old visual and hearing impaired mom and have had it plugged in at my home to test prior to taking it to her. I love the visibility of the actual screen but the remote will be an issue for her.

Needs a more alarmakng alarm, like an Klaxon sound. I have slept through unsustained (think over quickly) mortar attacks in Iraq. This alarm with "slots" for about a dozen alarms, plus the extra "custom slots", makes this alarm clock great for people without a smartphone who need "potty reminders" due to what I call "sudden onset incontence". There must be a small built in rechargeable battery since it held time after testing in the living room then carrying it to the bedroom with no kids of time or the alarms I had set. So my 86 year old Dad may have had a TIA (mini stroke) a month ago. The main effect has been incontence and experimentation led us to going every 90 minutes to avoid excessive cleanup and paper product use ($$$). Since he never had an interest in technology beyond a VCR remote from 1981, a Smartphone is beyond his interest, let alone with Apps for multiple alarms. This alarm clock solved many issues for us.

Bought this for my mother who has dementia as she was always asking what day it was. She absolutely loves this. Several times a week she mentions just how much she loves this clock. Visually very easy to read- we chose the white on black mode. 4 stars given due to the alarm. While I love the options and the accompanying pictures, the choices of the alarm sounds are terrible. Additionally, it would have been nice if the button to turn it off would be on the front along with some kind of indicator. My mom can't remember how to turn it off otherwise, so I had to disable the alarm. A little disappointing because I wanted to use it as a reminder to take her pills.

I have purchased three of these clocks for family and me. I did purchase one for an elderly parent who forgets days, but I have enjoyed it as well. I purchased the white one to go in my white kitchen. It's very sleek looking and keeps time well. I am recently retired so I'm not as focused on time as I was when working and having meetings, etc. so I glance at the large display throughout the day to keep track. If I'm cooking or boiling something on the stove, I reference it as a timer since it's in the kitchen, but can also see the large display from the den. Very nice for many ages and reasons!
