The machine is excellent and their customer service is outstanding.
I can’t be more thrilled with this machine and the overall experience. Let me tell you why.I ordered it 2 weeks ago. When it arrived I plugged it in and wanted to do the initial cleaning, but it wouldn’t start brewing. The instruction pamphlet was pretty straight forward, but before I return it, I wanted to make sure I wasn’t doing something wrong so I gave their customer service a call. Since no one responded (I called at off hours), I left a message to call me back. I decided to try it one more time, picked it up and it started brewing. Therefore, I realized that is losing the contact somewhere and that is defective, so I packed it up to return it the next day. I wasn’t frustrated as I understand things can happen + I have Prime so the returns are free and easy. The next day they called and left me a voicemail apologizing for the inconvenience and had asked me to call them back to their direct number, or just to text them my order ID and they will send me the replacement machine right away. I called them back and I can’t explain how genuine and professional the lady was. She got my order ID, ordered me the replacement right away, provided me with the confirmation #, and asked me to make sure to let them know once I get my money back. I said that it wasn't a problem and asked her how we should handle then paying for the replacement. She said that they will take care of it and that they are sending me the new one for free. I explained that it wasn’t needed as I wasn’t upset, that I am still their big fan just based on how they are handling my case. They insisted on sending me a free one, apologizing again. The replacement machine arrived and everything works great! I did a test and asked my friend to bring her Nespresso affiliated machine and we used the same Nespresso pods in both machine and there wasn’t any difference in taste or texture between the two. Machine looks great, takes no space on your counter, and it warms up in no time, so you have minimal waiting time between you turn it on and start brewing. Before I got it, I read the reviews here and some people complained or mentioned that is a bit loud. I really don’t think it is that loud. My mother has a professional home espresso machine (she paid over a $1000 for it) and even that one makes noise. The noise is insignificant, unless you are keeping it next to your baby’s head while at sleep :). Then anything is too noisy.I highly recommend this machine to everyone. I really don’t think you can find a better deal and still get a great quality and a great looking machine. Inconveniences can happen, but it is just matter of how people handle them, and they handled it amazing. My example shows their great customer service which led to the customer satisfaction.I rarely (almost never) write reviews, but in instances like this, they deserve to be written and acknowledged by others.Mueller, I am your fan from now on. Thank you!

Easy and delicious - blind/hard of hearing user
My husband and I love espresso and I have always enjoyed using the popular Italian stovetop maker. He wanted to be able to make espresso on his own, but as someone who is blind and who has significant hearing impairment, he found using the stovetop model to be a bit precarious. (I can see what I'm doing for filling and pouring, and can hear the shift in percolating when it's finished.)This machine has been the perfect answer for us. I read the brochure and gave him a tour of the machine, and he was operating it on his own on the first try. The raised buttons and minimal fitted parts are helpful in operating the machine with vision impairment. He loves delicious espresso and has enjoyed the results immensely - deep flavor and generous crema. We also live in a very small apartment and I dislike clutter on our countertops. This machine makes me happy because it has a tiny footprint. If you leave it out, it has a pretty design and doesn't take up much room. If you want to put it away between uses, it doesn't occupy much valuable cupboard real estate. I'm also not a big fan of single use items, but appreciate that many brands of the capsules use aluminum which we can rinse and recycle. There are also reusable stainless pods which I will look into next. For our home's ease of use, I can recommend two potential improvements. 1. add an audible signal in addition to the blinking light when the machine is ready to make a cup of espresso, and 2. make the part where the capsule is inserted a little more secure. (Putting the capsules in was a little bit of a learning curve for me and for my husband to be able to line them up correctly without them falling directly into the discard bin.)For anyone looking for an easy and relatively affordable way to enjoy espresso, I recommend this machine.

The best things come in small packages..and then they crash.
UPDATE: unfortunately, after only 3 weeks, I had to downgrade my review. I loved the machine. It was easy to use, simple to clean and made excellent espresso. We have run 35 pods through it, and run just water through to clean it about once per week. Tonight, it made about 1/4 inch of espresso in the cup, and the rest of the water came out the bottom. Checking out the tiny amount of one star reviews, it seems this issue is a known one. I’ve run through the troubleshooting with Amazon, to no avail. Packing it in to return now. As much as I want to order another, I think I’ll check out others to see if the pricier ones get better reviews. At least Amazon returns are trouble free! You may be one of the majority and get one that lasts, and if so, enjoy! It worked incredibly well...until it didn’t.So, this is literally day one, thus, I have no idea about its durability yet. I’ll update this review if it ends up taking a nosedive later. I bought a sampler of Peet’s pods, and the one I tried was amazing! Set-up was simple. The little shelf shown in the pic comes off, which is great to fit larger cappuccino cups. I also bought a milk frother, because I enjoy cappucinos more than espressos. This machine seems very sturdy and well made. As other reviews have said, this bad boy is definitely loud. But, it’s only for a minute, so not a deal breaker for me. Clean up was also a breeze. Pop the tray out that holds the pods (it gets wet when the used pods drop, so if you don’t at least rinse it after, mold will probably be an issue eventually. That tip was from another reviewer, and I’m glad I saw it before I used this. Anyway, the pieces rinse easily and pop back together on the machine. They are plastic, but a thick, sturdy plastic. I did a ton of research before finding this little gem. It easily matches the bigger, more expensive machines in the espresso. I’m very happy with this Nespresso machine!
