Venus Pro Massage Chair

I was going to wait for a while to write a review of this chair, but my experience with its arrival, set up, and first use really requires that I write a first impressions review now. To begin, the box was delivered at the earliest point of estimated delivery, a rare treat in my experience with Amazon deliveries. Unboxing was a bit of a chore. The thing weighs about 200 pounds and I was alone. I managed it. The cardboard will go to a recycling site near my home today. The styrofoam will have to wait. There is plenty of both. Assembling the chair was pretty easy. The calf support was reasonably weighted, so not too difficult to get in place and set. it took a little longer to get the threads on the remote stand to engage, but that, too, got done. The one or two other minor adjustments went very easily. There are videos which I watched earlier that prepared me. Nothing, however, prepared me for my first experience using the chair. I had had another massage chair that was given to me sort of third hand. It was an older generation of another brand. I would call it "adequate" now having never experienced a really good chair before it. The first session on this chair blew my mind. Unlike my old chair, this one actually felt as close to human hands as I imagine is possible. Where the old chair only extended down to the top of the pelvis this chair's devices gently massaged the hips, glutes and upper thighs in a way that made my arthritic hips truly joyful. Meanwhile my feet and calves were kneaded and massaged. The upper back and alongside the spine were worked in various ways, each remarkably human like in feel. To say that I was blown away would be an understatement. It didn't end there. I had some questions about how to use the remote which weren't answered by the manual. I wrote a short email to the info line for the manufacturer. I had an answer back in just a few minutes. The rep asked me for my phone number and said he would call shortly. I sent my number, and within 20 minutes I got a call-back from him. He turned it into a Facetime chat so that he could use the video to walk me through the various functions. In my entire life I have never experienced customer service at that level. In conclusion, the chair is a solid, beautifully made piece of furniture. It is extremely comfortable and remarkably functional. I have not read any reviews that speak of any longer term problems with its mechanisms. The warranty seems reasonable to me. I did not opt for the extended one, though I may choose to do so in a few weeks before the 30 day return period. I looked at a lot chairs after the old one I had malfunctioned. This was the best priced one I saw. It is remarkable at any price. At the current price I would have to call it a steal. If you want a great chair and don't want to pay what we used to pay for a new car, this is the one for you. It certainly is for me.

Massage Performance: The massage is strong, especially on the shoulders. I like a deep massage. You can change the settings to adjust the strength. Rollers & Airbags: Rollers are strong and smooth. Airbags feel supportive without being too much. Heating: Back heating is solid—great in colder weather. Doesn’t reach the shoulders, but still a nice bonus. Controls & Features: Tons of modes and a manual option. Voice control is fun and handy. One-touch zero gravity is awesome. The remote layout takes a minute to learn, but once you do, it's smooth sailing. Fit: It fits me just right. Why It Stands Out: You get a ton of features that usually come with way more expensive chairs. It feels like it was designed with real users in mind—smart touches like the control knob, and easy-to-move wheels. Plus, customer service was super responsive. Bottom Line: Totally worth it. Great chair, great price, great experience. I use it every single day and I’d absolutely recommend it.

The Relx Venus Pro chair was received a week ago and immediately put into operation. My first time ever receiving a massage, of any kind, so it was a real ‘learning experience’ for me. As an 80+ year old, my goal was to have this chair as a ‘health asset’ to minimize the aches and pains of elderly life. Well: it sure has been an ‘education’. This machine awakened body parts I didn’t know I had. I addressed a few concerns, regarding different functions, through their ‘tech. support’, which were addressed via email as well as phone conversations. It is a ‘keeper’ for me: BUT, others might want to consider one , I think, major design flaw, (advertisement deception)? The Amazon web site, from which I bought this massage chair, clearly showed photos of the operational control panel with illuminated text and symbols, as well as an illuminated center visual panel. The center panel IS illuminated, depicting some control actions, etc. HOWEVER: unlike every panel photo in their advertisement, there are NO ‘activate buttons’ that are illuminated. Thus: one certainly could not fully operate this unit in a darkened area without illumination. Teak support confirmed this lack of illumination, but suggest that is easily countered be use of the ‘voice control’ function. Voice control is responsive to well less than 30 percent of possible button responses. A big disappoint for me, as I will have to keep this chair, which has limited function ability: this is not desirable: but the cost of returning is ‘unacceptable’. Chose wisely: (I thought I had, but was mislead by the advertisement).

We bought this RELX massage chair in December at a great price, and it arrived in just two days. We’ve been using it for over a month now, and it has been absolutely amazing. This chair doesn’t just vibrate—it truly massages from your feet all the way up to your neck, and it feels incredible. We both work long days and are runners, so we use the chair every night to recover. It’s become part of our routine and is unbelievably relaxing. On top of that, our fur babies unfortunately chewed through the controller wire, and I was so stressed thinking the chair would be unusable—especially since we had just bought it. I called RELX customer service, and they answered immediately. They gave me a number to text photos, confirmed they had the part, and said they could ship it within five days. Their customer service is truly 11/10. They even included a complimentary chair cover, which was such a thoughtful touch. If you’re on the fence about buying this chair, just do it. It’s hands down the best on the market for the price it’s at.

I'm on the bigger side and the chair is a bit on the narrow side. It does massage all parts of your body (except for hands). I would prefer to have a bit deeper massage on the back roller but I like deeper than the normal person so this is good for the normal. I would have preferred the arms to have rollers instead of airbags because I work on computer all day. Did have the air tube disconnect....it's a bit hard to connect because the tube is so short on the chair part.....if it comes loose again, will reach out to seller to see if there is something else to keep it together...I didn't connect it the first time so not sure how it was put together (if not fully inserted). Overall easy install on footrest. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and will help with daily maintenance on my body.
