NcSTAR Weaver Mount Tactical LED Light Flashlight, Black

I purchase one of these NcStar Weaver Mount Tactical LEDs a while back and it's very good. It stays on very tight, and I've had it on 9mm Glocks as well as an HK USP 40, and had no issues with it coming off.The light is very bright and will provide you the light needed. I wanted to get another one of these for another pistol I had, and it came with a different on/off switch. In addition to the on/off switch, there was a strobe button on the other side. My issue is that the on/off button of this version was much harder activate. Part of the difficulty was finding the on/off button, and I couldn't imagine having to use it in a high stress situation.What is pictured as part of the description has more tactile on and off switches - and is more of what I prefer. I've added a comparison of the two versions.

Ok, second one ordered, and two different experiences. First one was not exactly the light pictured. It had two buttons, one for "power", the other for "strobe", which I'll never want, and the battery compartment opens in the rear, which is annoying, because my Gen 3 Glock 17 has pig-nose, and it's very, very difficult to remove a rail light. They refunded my money for that one, and it now resides on my Canik TP9SF which has a much better fit. Ordered a second one, and this one IS the light pictured. The checkered portion on the front is a nice, positive push-through power switch, and the battery compartment opens in the front, making it great for a sticky rail.

Very well made. I wasn't expecting too much judging by the price, but, the reviews were good so I gave it a try. Glad I did. Good quality with a bright tight beam. Just as good as the rail lights we have on our AR-15's at work (police department). I plan on showing this to our armorer. Light fight perfectly on my Taurus PT-101 Beretta clone. Also fit like a glove on my Beretta CX4 Storm carbine. I tried it on my Glock 23C, and, it fit. However, it was extremely tight and I needed to use a tool to pry it off. I am going to try it on my duty Sig Sauer DAK when I go back to work. As other reviewers said, by careful of your fingers when taking it off. They can easily get pinched on the spring loaded lock mechanism. All in all a very good deal. I might have to order another one.

Decent light for the money. I bought this as a cheap alternative to the Nebo 6109 iProTec RM190 High-Powered Firearm Light, as they both appear to use the same shell. There are a few noteworthy differences between the two:- The NcStar is slightly brighter.- The NcStar does not include a strobe function.- The NcStar uses a spring-loaded tension mount, while the Nebo uses a spring-loaded mount with adjustment screws.- The NcStar did not fit on my Beretta PX4 Storm, so I used a Dremel to slightly grind down the corners to make it fit. With this minor modification, it works fine.

The seller, "DanCShop", has sent a similar NCStar light, twice, that comes with forward push buttons and a strobe feature. That is not the product in this listing. The correct product is on/off only, and has a rearward toggle that can be actuated with a finger, without breaking grip on a pistol. My guess is that they have a warehouse location that was scanned in as the wrong product. This is why I am rating this item 1 star.Otherwise, I own one of these lights and, to my surprise, it has worked very well on a Gen 4 Glock 19. Very tight fit onto the rail, which is good. It has never come loose, and the light has functioned for at least 500 rounds of "on" time, plus many more of being off. The only downside is that it isn't as bright as other pistol lights, at about 80 lumens. Some people can live with only 80 lumens, so for at least a third the price of other lights, this one is a pretty decent option.

I got this for home defense on my Glock 19 gen 4. It fits nicely and tight not to much problem getting it off and on but can pinch a little. The light it sighted great for medium range and lights up a good area. I am really surprised how well this thing came out. I can not beat this price as well. It is well made and even the battery is good that it came with. You can not go wrong on this one.I received this product from the seller for free or at a discounted price for the purpose of a fair and honest review for future sellers. I specifically ordered this flashlight because it had the push right / push left power button. Instead i recieved a flashlight with a rubber button on each side that is tactically inefficient. I own both real rifles and play airsoft 3x a week in competative environments and this flashlight is getting taken off my gun and thrown into my tool box. Using this little button in a real scenario would be a serious disadvantage. Reaching the button for a quick light up and power off is painfully slow!!!***Product recieved is not what is pictured.

Do not buy this item. They will send you something different than what is advertised. I read this happened to another customer but figured it had to be an anomaly, but it wasn't. The item advertised has the on/off button at back near your fingers for quick on/off action. What I received not only looked different than the picture, it had an on/off push button all the way at the front of the light. This would require taking your hand out of your grip of the pistol to reach forward and push it on. Not only is this not ideal, it's absolutely not what I ordered. I'm going all the way down to one star because they've received feedback for this before, and still knowing and willingly sent the wrong item again to a different customer.

Works well with bright wide beam of light. Good lighting at 20 feet from target. Seems well made and reliable. Very happy with this product.
