Sharp, effective carving tools.

Very sharp out of the box and great for beginner. Time will tell how it holds up.

Great set. All 4 tools are very useful and perfect for carving caricatures along with Flexcut knives.

I am disappointed with these. My other Flexcut tools have been great. These are softer metal and feel like they will bend easily.

I'm relatively new to carving and, some of the more experienced carvers seem to downplay FLEXCUT tools. But, I have to say, they work fine for me. If you strop them to keep the edge sharp, they work just fine. I find the handles on these gouges to be pretty nicely shaped. They may not have a glass smooth finish but, they're reasonably comfortable. I'd recommend these to anyone who doesn't want to spend a lot of money on carving tools.
