Works just as needed, at a fair price.

This adapter is defective. Audio output is fine but it does not handle audio input. If you plug in a wired headset to this adapter, your iPhone will use the built-in mic on the phone while sending audio output to the headset, which is terrible for phone calls because you have to hold the phone to your face to be heard at a normal volume.

"Apple Certified" is a complete lie. I didn't open this until about a DAY after my return window had closed. On a KNOWN WORKING AMPLIFIER: Cable 1 - Audio pulsed off and on repeatedly. Cable 2 - Audio level was way too LOW to be heard. I wrote to the seller - NO REPLY WHATSOEVER. I could not send the seller any type of "defective" report because the window for return was closed so it was not allowed. Amazon finally gave me my money back, after a LENGTHY conversation. SO... IN CONCLUSION... there's a REASON why the reviews are BAD for this. And, it's because it's JUNK that is NOT "Apple Certified" as stated. Of course there's nothing in the planet you can do but just NOT buy it. This item deserves a NEGATIVE STAR rating. More plastic and metal for the landfill.

Didn't last long which is too bad because it worked well. Wouldn't purchase again.

They work well

It doesn’t work with the two volume buttons on the earbuds. It’s also much larger than the original Apple/made ones. And the audio is very loud, even with it turned down to the lowest level.
