The Perfect Rain Gutter Mounting Hardware
My rain gutter was starting to come loose from the eave of my garage, bowing outward. The original nails were hammered in, but over time loosened up and weren't holding any more. I bought these because the mounting hardware were screws, not nails, and the ferrules were a hard plastic, not thin metal tubes split down the middle. Both the original nails and ferrules were all the same length as the original hardware. Replacing the ferrules with the new ones and screwing in the new hardware was a cinch. The heads of the screws are white and are screwed in with a supplied 1/8" square head driver that works in either a 1/4" or 3/8" drill/driver. All 3 boxes of hardware I bought each came with a 1/8" square head driver, contrary to some other reviews that said that theirs didn't. Now it holds like it was glued in position, which it is not of course. But tightly rigid. A tip. If the screw seems a bit loose when you tighten it, remove the new screw, and put in the pointed end of a zip tie into the ferrule and the hole the screw goes in to, and cut off the rest of the zip tie. Then tighten the screw back up, and when the screw threads come in contact with the zip tie, it should hold very tightly I heartily recommend this hardware for this purpose. It's truly top notch with no shortcomings that I could find. It sure worked for me, and I used 35 new screws to do the job. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Great buy
I got the only package available at the time I ordered. The package had been partly opened and returned. They are similar to a package of 25 that I also got here. These screw"gutter spikes" are a great replacement for the nail type spikes that slowly work lose and fail. My only complaint is the included spacers are a low grade plastic that some reviewers here and elsewhere have said will crack and break over time. I reused my slightly smaller diameter aluminum spacers that were on most of my old quarter inch diameter nail type "gutter spikes" and managed to accumulate more than ten spare aluminum tubes originally for those times when I might manage to mangle or lose one of my spacers for my bought spikes but now to also replace the plastic ones in this set.Davegx

holds better than Nailed hangers even on rotted wood, excellent product, free bit included.
gutter had pulled loose from house in spots, The screws were slightly fatter than failed nails so used same holes and secured well...Easier to install than nails when the Gutter isn't exactly against the house and wants to spring the nail backwards Instead of puncturing sheet-metal... a lot of lost nails with the old product... screws were much easier and way more secure... each product takes its own required finesse.the screws pulled the lose gutter back to the house and was easy to get tight And made even easier with the well fitting bit included in the package. When starting new holes there was a small problem as the screw would go through the gutter sheet metal next to the house and pushed the gutter away, problem solved by running the driver backwards and it worked like a drill bit... old trick from my dad, also, it would catch in the wood if you put enough pressure on it... a little bit hard at the top of the ladder.great product would definitely buy it again... and I did :-)

Secures the rain gutter. HEX head screws would be MUCH better.
These 7 inch long screws were used to repair aluminum rain gutter with the concealed gutter hangers that are popular with contractors but don't last. Our first big snow ripped some of the rain gutter off the roof and loosened the rest of the gutter. I used the Amerimax screws to securely attach the gutter to the fascia. Each screw required a 3 step process: Drill pilot hole in aluminum gutter. Then using 10 inch long drill bit extend pilot hole into fascia board (2x6). Then using 18Volt driver and soap coated screw secure screw through gutter to fascia. Fully seating these 7 inch screws took all my effort to keep from rounding out the star fitting. End result: the gutters are secure. I don't know if I can get enough leverage to do this on top of a 20 foot ladder. I could not find 7 inch long screws with a HEX head.

Keep them screws level!
It should hold better than a nail. I used a 3/16 pilot hole drilled very level with the help of a bubble level on the drill. If it is not level then you will have a low spot in your gutter where water pools. I found a battery impact driver very useful in driving the screws in the rafter tails. You might need a bigger pilot hole if you do not have one.

Works great
Alway had problem with one section of gutter coming loose, these definitely have a better hold than the nails

Gutter screw does the job.
I had some regular gutter "nails" that had worked loose over time. These gutter screws replaced the "nails".Gutter screws hold much better and do not tend to work loose. I have used gutter screws in the past and theyhave done the job. These appear to be of good quality and should work well over time...but of course, "time" will tell. At this point I would recommend them.

Works well, poorly painted screw heads
These worked well to repair my sagging gutter that my landlord never seemed to get around to fixing. With my Makita impact driver they went in quickly and easily. Note the head is a square drive, so if you don't own one you'll need to order one as well.I kind of wish they were a little longer (1/2" or so) to go further into the wood, but tugging on the gutter with moderate force didn't pull it out of the wood. I doubt these are stainless so rust may be an issue down the road, but at least they don't pull out as easy as aluminum nails and they're cheaper than the "hidden" screw hangers you can buy. These are all small issues.I'd give it 5 stars if the screw heads were powder coated or at least painted well enough they don't come out of the box already scratched. Didn't really matter for my application but other people may care.

Seem to do their job, but aluminium is not supposed to be magnetic
I acquired a number of these last year to replace aluminium nails that had been in place for a long time and started to creep out a bit. They seem to do the job, but interestingly the screw is attracted to a magnet, so I am suspicious of the statement that they are "Composed Of Durable, Refurbished Aluminum".I would not want them to rust, which is why they should be aluminium. Time will tell.

Yes fits standard eaves troughs & arrived on time
These kind of things you always kind of wonder if they'll fit & they did;. Eaves trough repair is a funny thing, nice these fit well & came with sleeves too.
