Size:7A | Style:Carbon Pro Supergrip Techra polymer carbon fibre drumsticks have been developed to create the main technical characteristics needed by any beginning drummer: balance, control, rigidity and vibration absorption. High durability Techra drumsticks have been designed to have the same weight as wooden sticks, are perfectly balanced and allow for good control with high rigidity. Moreover, they are equipped with an anti-vibration device that helps to dissipate the natural vibrations of the drumsticks. These technical characteristics provide high performance, creating a powerful sound on the toms, rim and cymbals. The tones are very rich, well balanced and allow the drummer to experience new frontiers and enrich his or her performance. Perfect balance allows the drummer to have a great feeling playing any kind of music, with greater response on fast playing. As the weight of the sticks is the same as wood, you can use the same force and playing technique - there is no need to change your playing style. The anti-vibration devices reduce fatigue, allowing the drummer to maintain the best performance for heavy and long shows without getting tired. The rigidity achieved with carbon fibres allows you to transmit all the power and energy required to produce great sounds. In the end, higher durability is also really cost effective.

Was hoping for something like Vic Firth Titan's but....
Was hoping for something like Vic Firth Titan's - they're no longer sold anywhere so wanted to find something comparable. They were the perfect weight, felt exactly like a wood stick and played like one too. I do a lot of rim shots which chew up wood sticks very quickly. The Titans lasted me a year and half which I feel was very worth the cost.Since they're no longer available, I got the Techra X-carb but probably should have gotten hammer of the gods as they're a bit heavier. Not sure how I feel about first impressions - I noticed there's a seam going along the length of the stick which wasn't present on the Titans; the tip of the stick is also hollow. There's a rough edge at the butt of the stick that continually scrapes my hand. I might wrap the grip of the stick in tennis racket tape like I did with the Titans as they're very smooth so should alleviate some of the issues. These should be priced at least $15 -$20 cheaper than the Titans as the quality is just not there. No way these are worth $50.Overall finish seems sloppy to me and have reservations about long term durability but time will tell.

The Best I’ve Discovered!
I was skeptical about using Carbon Fiber sticks in general. I first ordered a brand made in Germany that were OK & will work for a backup pair. The “TECHRA x CARB” 5B are the best for, feeling like a pair of wood sticks, anti shock to fingers & excellent rebound! They have almost reached one year in professional use!

First use and I approve
Used the wooden ‘el cheapo sticks for a five or so songs and switched to the techra sticks for about five to ten songs. They feel a little heavier than the wood sticks but they are able to a rebound faster making the playing surprisingly faster. Let’s see how they hold up in the long term. I like them so far.

Excellent Sticks!
Excellent feel and grip. I use them for working out on a pad and they are perfectly balanced and absolutely straight. They appear very durable.

The closest feel to wood sticks
I'm a heavy hitter drummer. I play punk and hard rock music. I was going through an average of 1.5 of woodsticks a month. I tried Ahead sticks and they lasted about 3 to 4 months and they didn't feel quite like wood sticks. Someone mentioned carbon fiber sticks and I order two pairs of the X Carb 5A. That was about 2.5 years ago. They have lasted me this long. They feel very close to wood sticks and you can get them in different sizes. I love them. I still keep a pair of wood sticks in my bag to do rim shots as carbFiber sticks are not good for that...it just doesn't sound the same... more.
