Great rod. Butt section is a bit too long for my preference.
Great surf rod. Super long, probably a little more than I need, but the extra length will help get bait further out. If anything, I feel like the butt section is too long. Not a huge deal, but I really think it could be taken down like an entire foot and it would be perfect. I may cut it down myself. Caught several bluefish, pompano, flounder, crabs, pufferfish, and redfish on it and it is in as great of condition as it was when I received it. It fishes.

Solid surf rod
I feel like I can cast this thing with more weight than it is rated for. It is a solid surf rod. My only issue is the play at the tip. I find it hard casting heavy bait, not getting the distance i should. Probably my problem since I don't have as much time with it to perfect my cast. I've been mainly using my stiffer 10 footer. It sends whatever I got on the end where I want it. I still bring this rod out when I'm trying to have a spread.
