This is an excellent 3-way light bulb socket replacement. It has an excellent finish and is very well made. Hard to find US parts anymore and the one this replaced was made in China as is this one. This one I put on a table lamp. The socket for the screw mount for the base (not the bulb) was not quite as deep as the old one. But was not an issue to account for. I have tested it for an hour or so on all the 3- lightbulb levels. No issues and works a bunch better than the old one that would pop and “fizz” as you tried to use it. Very satisfied. Price is a good value.

It seems like every new lamp I purchase these days have only one way light options. I like 3way light options. So what I do is purchase these three way sockets from Amazon to replace the 1way sockets. Its easier than you might think to do. The results are so worth it. I was unable to find these 3 way sockets locally by themselves. The local big stores packed them as a full unit including the lamp harp, which meant a higher cost, plus I didn't need the harp. I found this 2pack (just sockets) on Amazon at half the price.

Purchased these to fix our old table lamps switch. I used the guts of theme to modify our old solid bronze light sockets. Good alternative
