Q: when it say's multi color, just exactly does that mean

It blends in with any color wood. I used on oak cabinets. I tried to use on a dark wood dining set, but it had a protective film on it so it did not take the liquid gold and stayed greasy. I used on a darker cabinet as well and worked great

It's not a spray container. You take the lid off and there's a smaller plastic cap inside that you flip up to pour it out.

Yes, but you might have more success with a product called Goo Gone -- it's orange-oil based and I've used in cleaning daycare centers.
