This method of salt formation and collection results in salt crystals that are not uniform. Trace mineral content depends upon the location at which it is harvested, so the flavor varies with point of origin.

Q: I know that sea water is toxic (to kidneys etc).. does this salt's high moisture content actually has the seawater?

It’s not the water itself that is toxic, it’s the salt in the water and our kidneys’ inability to rid our body of all that salt. That’s if you are drinking sea water for your water supply. We cannot expel enough salt and eventually actually dehydrate. But there is nothing innately toxic about sea water or sea salt. If you drink fresh water there’s no problem using sea salt for seasoning.

Q: can you use this in a grinder? if not is it coarse or fine?

If you want you can use a grinder, but usually you just use a little spoon. This salt is between coarse and fine, but it is to use as a table salt

Q: Is this the same salt that is in the 4.4 oz container?

If a 125 grams is the same as 4.4 oz then the answer is yes!!!
