I REALLY like this
I have a large popular brand dehydrator, but honestly it's cumbersome to take out when I want to use it and it really heats up and it's loud. It works but those are the facts ...THIS one however was not only tinier than I imagined but it works great! It's not round like the one I have so it saves counter space not just because it's small. But it fits well if I need to use the counter around the same space. The temp only goes to 80 and the start feature takes some getting used to or figuring out but I marinated beef for Jerky overnight and this machine took a complete pound of beef perfectly. If the temp could be hotter it would've taken less time but it small and I'm sure there's a safety reason. But I just ran it for 12 hours (restarting after it timed out according to my settings) The jerky turned out great. Then I dried fresh rosemary -- which I feel too way too long but the smell of rosemary kept me happy so .... I used a coffee bean grinder and now have wonderful ground rosemary. I'm happy for this choice. Also, super easy to clean. Just wet wipe it down and dry.Recommended

Small in size, for smaller quantities
Only 4 stars because of a very poorly written instruction manual, which lacks basic directions. Also, the trays are directional; once you figure it out, they are easy to use. I did have a problem setting/adjusting the temperature - in fact, I couldn't get the machine to display a temperature, but I'll play with it some more and see if it gets easier. On a positive note, I was able to dehydrate five trays of thinly sliced strawberries, rotating the trays per the instruction manual, and it took 9 hours. They are not as dehydrated as I had hoped, but they are delicious! I hope to continue to use this dehydrator, especially at this time of the year when we are harvesting our garden. I do like the size of the dehydrator, and it is such a retro color. I'll update as I use it more often.

Instructions need major improvement
Mechanically, this is a decent dehydrator for the price and for its size. It's very compact, but fits a lot more product than you think it will. The instructions are terrible - you pretty much have to trial-and-error pushing the buttons to figure them out. The racks only fit into each other one way, but that is left out of the instruction manual so that is a trial-and-error process as well. Product listing states that it comes with a "silicone mat" and silicone gloves" - the instruction manual does not describe what one would use the silicone mat for, perhaps to line the bottom of the machine for easier cleaning? No silicone gloves were included, but I'm not sure why they would be necessary.

Have always wanted a food dehydrator! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Have always wanted a food dehydrator! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This arrived before I recovered from two recent surgeries so a bit slow to put it in to use but am so excited to try numerous items in this dehydrator. I ordered this one when one of its suggestions was to make your own teas and that was the deciding factor!Since then, have discovered what my worst food allergy is and see that their recipes give me some great alternatives!Bravo!

Dryer Failed After 24 Hours
Dryer was very well packaged with foam padding and plastic wrap. When opened there was a faint odor of plastic but that went away after it sat out on the table for a while. I cleaned it well with a damp sponge, and ran it for an hour on the highest temperature before drying any food, just to let it “air out” a bit more.Cover is removed by a pinch grip molded into the cover, I had to apply some grip tape to the grip surfaces to get a firm grasp.Amazon product details state the temperature range in Fahrenheit, but the display is in Celsius only. I could not find a setting to toggle between the two temperature scales. 30-80 C is the temp range which is the same as 86-176 F.The trays are keyed so they only stack one way, if it will not stack, rotate tray 180 degrees. The programmable drying time can be set in half hour increments up to 24 hours and the display of time remaining is in tenths of an hour. While set on 55 C (131 F) it is drawing ~98 W. At 80 C its drawing 189 W.While drying the mushrooms at 55 C the temp at the bottom of the stack was ~100 F, at the top ~80 F. The User’s Manual recommends reverse stacking while drying due to this temperature delta.Mushrooms dried in about 20 hours.Dryer will only turn off via the count down timer. You have to unplug the dryer to turn it off. After drying the mushrooms, I loaded a tray of banana slices and found that I could adjust the timer and the temperature, but the dryer would not start, it just toggles back and forth between time and temp. Press of the power button does nothing, a 5 second hold on the button puts the dryer back in standby mode. I had to unplug it to get it to completely shut down. I plugged it back in thinking that the timer may still be counting down and after an hour it is still locked up.Positives: small footprint, low power consumptionNegatives: Could not change temperature display between F and C. It stopped working so I could not evaluate it any further.
