Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds (Nintendo Switch)

Now this is a very good game. Mario kart used to be very much the gold standard of kart games, though I say this now (as do most reviews) this is better than the mario kart world. So yourself (and your wallet) a favour - buy this and don't bother with the new (overpriced) switch 2. This game is easily one of the best games of the year. Great for children (easy to play but challenging to master), fun for grown ups with a takeaway pizza and a few beers. The graphics are stunning and the sound and voice acting top notch. It has a fair bit of longevity as they are releasing guest characters periodically over the rest and coming year. These guest characters include Minecraft, SpongeBob Square pants and teenage mutant ninja turtles to name a few all racing with the familiar Sonic, Tails and Knuckles. Truly a game for everyone with cross platform play (PlayStation owners can play Xbox players, switch players and even PC). As I say, do yourself a favour a certainty purchase this game for Christmas - you will not be disappointed.

A fun arcade racing game we'll worth getting

The best karting game out there! I got this as my son prefers sonic characters to Mario. I wondered if it would be a mediocre version of mariokart, however to my surprise this game is absolutely fantastic. Here’s why… 1. The racing is fun, energetic, responsive and the drift mechanic works perfectly 2. The weapons and items are brilliant, where you will soon be used to weapons, defensive items and boosts 3. The race level design is fantastic. Each level has a link to the sonic universe but above all else, is just a brilliantly fun track. 4. The soundtrack is immense. Each song is brilliant and it really adds to the gameplay 5. Characters. All the sonic characters with some really cool crossovers too. Sega have really taken advantage of the excellent sonic characters available 6. Very good multiplayer. My son and I play the 2 player option against rivals and it is brilliant All in all, this is my favourite game in Switch at the moment. My son (8) loves it and I cannot stop playing with him. Much better than Mariokart and just hope they continue with this franchise

My sonic fan loved this

It's an okay game. Lovely graphics. The difficulty needs to be tweaked. However the 3D Sonic Kart game should have been ported instead as it's a much more balanced game with much better and interesting tracks (House of the Dead track for me is superb). So two reviews on one. Also it's quite cheap on Amazon at the moment.

Big fan of Sonic Racing and this game did not disappoint. Lots of fun and very addictive. Highly recommend

A really solid kart racing alternative to the little fat plumber. Superb graphics and intuitive gameplay makes it an easy 'pick up and play' game with friends who aren't regular gamers. The pick ups can seem pretty confusing to start with, but you soon get used to their actions after a couple of rounds.

Great game, got it at a good price too! Always loved the original sonic riders so seeing they brought the boards back I had to get
