Expensive but durable
This provides fantastic backlighting for my solo gig. I have two uplights in front of me and wanted something with soft motion casting on the wall behind me that was easy to set up…and this works great! It provides bright light and adds great ambience to my show. I had it hanging from a hook in storage about 5 feet off the floor and the hook broke and this fell. Plugged it in thinking it might be damaged…nope, works great. So I love how sturdy this thing is built.

Good quality
The media could not be loaded. Very sturdy and heavy a good quality for outside however, does not have a dimmer switch or button on the remote, actually it does but it does not work. I’ve ordered two of them so if you order this, remember, he will not be able to dim the brightness.

Pleasant Surprise
It feels like a legitimate piece of commercial equipment because it has significant weight. Don't be skeptical of the insect-eye lens; it does produce a credible water effect. The coverage is wide because light projects roughly 45 degrees outward L/R. Ideal distance from the wall or ceiling is about 15 ft with 5-25 feet being an acceptable distance. Because we already have flood lights, I considered making something that achieved this effect with a constantly waving sheet of reflective film (chrome mylar?). By the time you order the materials to suspend and wave your sheet, you'll easily spend $100 and run a huge risk of it not looking professional. I'm glad we just spent the extra money and used this. Hopefully it will give a long life. It runs warm, so keeping it at 70F or below will probably maximize the service life.

Less than 6 months of use and it’s broken…
Blue and green no longer functions, less than 6 months after purchase, and with light use. Unacceptable for a $150 light. Piece of junk. Skip it.

Extremely durable
Very durable light. Puts out extremely bright realistic light. Used as a Halloween decoration and it lit up the whole house. Highly recommend!

Really nice!
First thing I noticed out of the box was how heavy this light is. This is not a flimsy, cheap, plastic casing, it is made of a heavy durable metal that is quite solid. Extremely easy to use, simply plug it in and change color settings with the remote control. The color is sharp and fantastic effects! So, why four instead of five stars? Two things, one - the brightness level I was hoping would be better all around. The full red, blue or green (as well as white) are pretty bright and can be seen even with some other lighting in the area. Once you start getting into blended colors however, you would need a dark dark space to see it well. It isn't that it can't be seen at all, but it feels more like a "what is that" kind of effect, vs the full "water effect". Two, while the handle is strong, there is no stake or stand to attach the light to, so you are on your own to find something if you want to stake it down in the yard. If you want to mount it to a wall, easy enough to do, just remember, this is not a very light unit, so you will need a strong enough set of screws and a secure place to mount. Will need to be into a stud or board, not just drywall.Overall, I'm very happy with it! The pro beats the con for sure.

Wow, this is a serious unit
The media could not be loaded. I have been used to buying $30 water effect lights for my business over the years. I need one for outdoors, I bought this one for that reason. This is a serious unit, the housing is all metal and looks like it's designed to dissipate heat. On the cheapies you expect to hopefully get one year use before the motion feature breaks, hopefully this expensive one lasts longer. Most important on a unit like this, it holds the memory so during power outages or putting it on a timer (as I do), it remembers the last setting. Get wasted cheaply at The Octopus Bar, Hollywood FL! See the anchor water light in action!

A Professionally Priced Lighting Effect that Isn't Quite Professional Enough
I have a number of cheaper wave projectors that all suffer from the same issue--the light output isn't as intense as I would like it to be. This Yasotek projector is brighter than those cheaper versions, but it's not bright enough to justify the price. It is well-made (at least the housing is, I haven't opened it to evaluate the electronic) and quite heavy. It has a yolk, so it can be mounted to a truss or permanently installed on a ceiling, but it would be better if it came with a split yolk for precise positioning when placed on the floor. It comes with one of those cheap remotes that serves its purpose for changing colors and effects, but a projector at this price point should be controllable by DMX, which it isn't. Also, there is a wire that extends rom the unit that acts as the receiver for the wireless remote--I found this an odd choice. The effect is good, but at this price point, I find it lacking some of the features I would expect from a "professional" projector.
